Ezra Miller made headlines a few weeks ago for all the wrong reasons. He was recently involved in legal trouble earlier this year. The actor reportedly pleaded not guilty to burglary charges in a Vermont court on Monday, as per a report by Variety. For the unversed, Miller was charged with alleged burglary for breaking into a residence in Stamford in May. He may face up to 26 years in prison if convicted of both charges.

Accusation details

Talking about Ezra Miller, he was accused of breaking into a Stamford residence on May 1, 2022. According to the latest reports, Vermont State Police discovered missing bottles of alcohol from the property while the owners were not present. After reviewing the surveillance footage and collecting statements, the police authorities charged Miller with felony burglary. According to Variety’s report, the charges state that the stolen items were less than USD900 in value.

Attorney’s statement

Ezra Miller’s lawyer has recently released a statement following the actor’s appearance in court and said, “Ezra Miller this morning pled not guilty to one count of burglary and one count of petit larceny in Vermont Superior Court and accepted the court-imposed conditions of not contacting or entering the home of the inhabitants. Ezra would like to acknowledge the love and support they have received from their family and friends, who continue to be a vital presence in their ongoing mental health.”

Earlier, Ezra Miller also got into trouble with the lawmakers and is currently in the news for his arrest in Hawaii. The actor, who is known for his performances in movies like Justice League and Fantastic Beasts, was arrested on March 28 because of an incident that happened at a karaoke bar. According to the reports, Miller was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct. According to the police, the actor was partying there at a bar on Silver Street. However, he became agitated later on and yelled obscenities at the patrons who were present there. To make matters worse, Miller also lunged at a person who was playing darts nearby.

Ezra Miller, 29, was recently found partying on March 28, 2022, in Hawaii. He was also arrested but let out on bail later. As per Hawaii News Now, the actor became agitated while partying at the bar at Silver Street. When a young woman was midway through her song, he not only snatched the microphone from her but also yelled obscenities. As mentioned earlier, the actor lunged at a man playing darts too. Even the bar owner could not control Miller when he tried to calm him down. Later, Miller was arrested, and his bail set was said to be $500. He was let out on bail after having paid the amount.
