Attention, winxies! In an interesting turn of events, Netflix recently dropped the release date of Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2. Season 1 had left the fans wanting more of these magic fairies and their spellbinding personalities to such an extent that Netflix had no other option than to renew the series for a second season.
For those unversed, Fate: The Winx Saga is created by The Vampire Diaries’ creator, Brian Young, who was inspired by Iginio Straffi’s animated series The Winx Club, consisting of five fairies, led by Bloom. They attend a magical boarding school called Alfea in the Otherworld.
The first season constituted only six episodes. However, they were enough to top Netflix’s daily chart, highlighting the exponential viewership of the series. On Thursday, February 18, 2021, Netflix officially renewed Fate: The Winx Saga for a second season.

Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 Release Date
On Wednesday, July 27, Netflix officially announced that Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 will be released on Friday, September 16, 2022. The announcement came through a behind-the-scenes video that provided an exclusive look at the second season. The complete season will be available for streaming on the streamer at 12:00 am PT/3:00 am ET on the mentioned date. On July 20, 2021, Netflix tweeted that the second season was then in the production stage.

According to Netflix Media Center, the official synopsis of the season reads:
“School’s back in session under the militant authority of Alfea’s former Headmistress Rosalind. With the Burned Ones gone, Dowling “disappeared” and Silva imprisoned for treason, the Alfea of last year has grown up with new magic, new romances and new faces. But when fairies start to go missing in the night, Bloom and her Suitemates discover a dangerous threat lurking in the shadows. One they’ll have to stop before it wreaks havoc on the entire Otherworld.”
