FBI: International Season 2 Release Date
On May 9, 2022, CBS renewed the series for a second and third season. The network has officially confirmed that the series will return this year by disclosing that FBI: International Season 2 will be premiering new episodes on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 9 p.m (ET) time slot, and conclude with FBI: Most Wanted Season 4 at 10 p.m (ET) time slot on the same day.

Kelly Kahl, President of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement, “The FBI is one of the most successful brands in the entire TV landscape and a powerful cornerstone of our number one lineup.” Further adding, “They’ve attracted a dedicated, loyal fan base, thanks to the extraordinary vision of executive producer Dick Wolf and the talents of all three outstanding casts and creative teams. I know we and our viewers look forward to two additional seasons of engaging, heroic stories.”
Also, Dick Wolf, the executive director and brand creator, said, “Everybody who works on these three shows is over the moon about the multi-year pickups.” “We are all incredibly grateful to CBS and our partners at Universal Television and CBS Studios. And I personally would like to thank the incredible casts, talented writers and dedicated producers, not to mention three crews who never missed airdate despite the difficulties of producing full seasons during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
FBI: International Season 2 Plot and Episodes
The next season is expected to consist of 20 plus episodes, each lasting approximately 43 minutes. Furthermore, as of September 19, 2022, the titles of the first two episodes were released by the network early on, which highlighted some of the plotlines of the season.

FBI: International Season 2 Cast Updates
Luke Kleintank, Heida Reed, Carter Redwood, Vinessa Vidotto, and Eva-Jane Willis will reprise their roles for the new season. On July 14, 2022, Paul exited the series with Eva-Jane Willis replacing her as a new character.
According to Deadline, Willis will portray Megan “Smitty” Garretson, a street-wise Europol agent with an extensive undercover background who is embedded with The Fly Team and liaises with each host country they inhabit. Smitty is taking over for Paul’s character Katrin Jaeger who will be enjoying her promotion as the head of all Western Europe for Europol off-camera with the Season 1 finale “Crestfallen” serving as her final appearance—for now.
It is also speculated by the viewers that the door remains open for Katrin to pop back in as a guest star in the future, though there are currently no plans set as yet. The series is produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with CBS Studios.
