FBI: Most Wanted Season 4 Cast Updates
FBI: Most Wanted underwent a significant casting change when Dylan McDermott, who was portraying a new character, replaced outgoing protagonist Julian McMahon and will be back for the next season. When FBI: Most Wanted returns for a fourth season in the fall of 2019, Miguel Gomez won’t be joining the cast. Gomez, who took over the role of Special Agent Ivan Ortiz midway through Season 2 of the FBI spinoff, is departing the show. It is thought that both parties decided that he should leave.
After Miguel Gomez left the Fugitive Task Force on CBS’ FBI: Most Wanted in June, Edwin Hodge is now formally the team’s newest member. He will make his Ray Cannon debut this fall during the fourth season of the show, which premieres on September 20 at 10 p.m. Ray Cannon moved from the FBI’s Albany office for violent crimes to Remy Scott’s (Dylan McDermott) unit. Following in the footsteps of his father, a retired FBI agent, he began his career in New Orleans as a police officer who later became a junior detective. He then graduated at the top of his class from Quantico last year.
FBI: Most Wanted Season 4 Plot
The basic premise, according to the CBS website, FBI: Most Wanted is a high-stakes drama that focuses on the Fugitive Task Force, an elite unit that relentlessly pursues and captures the notorious criminals on the Bureau’s Most Wanted list. Led by Supervisory Special Agent Jess LaCroix, an expert tracker and profiler with a complicated past, the team includes Special Agent Sheryll Barnes, a former NYPD detective, and forensics expert who is raising one child with her wife with another on the way; Special Agent Hana Gibson, a gifted millennial computer whiz with a sharp wit and mad hacking skills.
Special Agent Kenny Crosby, a young Army vet and brash Oklahoma farm boy who specializes in weapons and tactics; Special Agent Ivan Ortiz, a transplant from Los Angeles with a street cop’s instincts and a gift for undercover work; and their newest member, Special Agent Kristin Gaines, a Navy veteran who became a star in the FBI’s Miami Field Office as a result of her dogged pursuit of cold cases. Always in the field and always on the run, FBI: Most Wanted is a weekly adrenaline shot about the thrill of the chase.
The fourth season’s plotlines are unknown, but fans have assumed they will continue the Season 3 storyline. The finale episode, A Man Without a Country, was released on May 24, 2022. The episode is directed by Heather Cappiello, the teleplay is written by David Hudgins, and the story is written by Davi and Hudgins & Wendy West. The official synopsis of the episode reads, “The team chases an oligarch who goes on a terror spree in a desperate attempt to escape an impossible situation.”
The next season is expected to pick up from this episode and continue the plot with new subplots that highlight new character arcs for the series to develop in favor of the fan’s expectations. In the meantime, we suggest fans patiently wait and binge-watch Season 3, which aired earlier this year, in order to update their recollection of certain significant plotlines and keep an eye out for details that will be released in the coming weeks about the series’ episode titles and synopsis.
