Missy Peregrym will return to duty next month. Peregrym is a member of the drama’s original cast, which debuted in 2018. She has returned from maternity leave and will appear in an all-new episode on November 15. Peregrym and her husband, Tom Oakley, had their second child in June, and she is currently on maternity leave. She confirmed in an Instagram post that she would return to her role as Special Agent Maggie Bell in the FBI episode dated November 15th, 2022, as her maternity leave ended in September.
She will reprise her role as Maggie Bell, who was placed on medical leave after suffering an injury, which explains her absence. It is confirmed that Maggie returns in time to assist the team in the investigation of the deaths of a law student on track to attend Quantico and a young guy with apparent gang links in the episode “Ready or Not.”
The episode is directed by Stephen Surjik and written by Heather Michaels & Thomas Kelly. The official Twitter handle of the show also confirmed the news by sharing a BTS clip of the star cast, quoting, “The moment you’ve all been waiting for – @mperegrym is finally back! According to the official description for the episode, Maggie will return just in time to help with two murder investigations: one involving a law student going to attend Marine Corps Base Quantico and the other involving a young guy with probable gang links. Maggie, on the other hand, slips and shares a bit too much, leading her colleagues to question if she’s ready to return to work quite yet.
The official summary for the episode is as follows: “Ready or Not”– Maggie returns from medical leave in time to help the team investigate the homicides of a law student on track to attend Quantico and a young man with possible gang ties. Also, an inadvertent revelation from Maggie to OA causes him to worry that his partner is rushing back into the job too quickly on the CBS Original series FBI, Nov. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to live stream and on-demand on Paramount+.
FBI Season 5 Episode 7: What to expect in the episode?
As highlighted by Collider, It will be exciting to see her back on screen and in action with the team, as the episode is said to be a transition episode to assist Peregrym in resuming her role as Maggie. Maggie has a lot of catching up to do with what’s happened to her coworkers since last season, especially with her work partner OA. Shantel VanSanten filled in for Peregrym as Agent Nina Chase, who briefly replaced Maggie as OA’s partner. There is no word on whether VanSanten will return to the show, as she is not mentioned as a cast member for the episode.

She formerly worked as a police officer in Indiana. She was working on an abduction case in collaboration with the FBI. Despite the fact that the investigation ended in disaster, her abilities were acknowledged, and she was recommended to join the FBI. Maggie’s instincts on the field and in the interrogation room are widely renowned among her coworkers. OA once joked, “You have a way of cutting through emotion and getting people to do what you want.”

The 6th episode, “Double Bind,” is reported to release on Tuesdays, November 6, 2022, at the same schedule at the 8/7C time slot.
