From Season 3 Release Date: When is it expected to premiere?
Fans of the hit series created by John Griffin can finally mark their calendars, as the highly anticipated third season is just around the corner. Yes! You read it right—the network has officially confirmed that the series will be making its official comeback in 2024 rather than premiering later this year. Although it’s still a little longer than expected, the network’s decision to delay the premiere until next year only heightens the excitement and leaves us wondering what thrilling twists and turns await us in this upcoming installment.
As a result, there is no chance that the series will return in August 2023 or anytime later this year!
It should be noted that the creators have made a wise decision by not fixing the release window early, as the ongoing 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, along with the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, have already put the majority of the production houses across major Hollywood studios in a temporary halt. Due to this, both writers and actors have joined hands and raised their voices regarding fair compensation, and they won’t stop protesting until an agreement is made.
After all, they are the backbone of the entertainment industry, and no work can resume without good writers and actors!
It’s because of them that good scripts are written with great actors taking roles in the projects in order to bring the magic from the screenplays onto television screens around the world. In conclusion, the decision to set the release window for next year was ideal for all three production stages to move rather smoothly without any major hurdles coming their way once the strikes are concluded and the writer’’ room resumes their work to complete scripts and continue the tale of Boyd Stevens for another mind-blowing season, as the fans expect nothing less!

From Season 3 Plot: What to expect?
The series is expected to follow the basic theme, which expands into a nightmarish town in Middle America that traps everyone who enters!
Unwilling residents strive to stay alive and search for a way out, plagued by terrifying nocturnal creatures from the surrounding forest and secrets hidden in the town. Moreover, the series is also expected to continue in the second season, which follows: “Hope wears thin and tensions run high as a busload of unsuspecting newcomers arrives in town. Season Two of From will explore just how far the residents of this nightmarish place are willing to go to find answers, even as chilling new threats to their safety—and their sanity—begin to emerge.”
“The first two seasons of From captivated critics and terrified and engaged fans, who have formed a thriving online community that is trying to put the pieces together week by week as the secrets of the nightmarish town—and possibly beyond—are slowly revealed,” said Michael Wright, head of MGM+. Further adding, “We can’t wait for fans to see the surprises ahead in season three, which promises more scares and mysteries, but also more answers.”
*Spoiler Alert*
Moreover, the second season’s finale, “Once Upon a Time?” will also play a crucial role in the development of the next season’s overall plotlines. As in the final, we got to see that Donna recovers Randall, who is alive but in a coma like Julie and Mari. Sara tells Boyd that he accidentally released the entity responsible for all of this and that he has to destroy the music box. He, Sara, and Kenny try to find the box in the forest but only find ruins.
Ellis and a pregnant Fatima get married, and Boyd is inspired by a remark Ellis makes about finding light in the darkness. He takes a torch that he recovered from his encounter with Martin and returns to the ruins in the forest.
After lighting the torch, he finds himself back in prison, where he sees Julie, Mari, and Randall chained up and being tortured by an unseen force. He goes to destroy the music box but sees a vision of Abby, who tells him that fighting this entity is pointless and will only prolong everyone’s suffering. Boyd refuses to listen and destroys the music box, causing the three prisoners to be awake from their comas and seemingly ending the immediate threat to the town.
Meanwhile, Jade searches the tunnels – now seemingly devoid of the creatures – and sees a vision of seven ghastly children lying on stone beds and chanting at an opening in the ceiling that matches the symbol he’s been seeing. Victor takes Tabitha to a tree which transports her to the tower, where she believes the ghastly children are being kept prisoner.
Later, after climbing to the top of the tower, she is met by the Boy in White, who apologizes and explains this is the only way before shoving Tabitha out a window. Tabitha awakens in a hospital, where a doctor tells her she was found on the side of a trail by hikers three days earlier. A stunned Tabitha realizes she’s escaped to the outside world.
Check out the official trailer for the second season to get an idea about the plot in case you haven’t streamed the season yet. The series will continue in the wake of season 2’s cliffhanger, where escape will become a tantalizing and very real possibility as the true nature of the town comes into focus, and the townspeople go on offense against the myriad horrors surrounding them.

From Season 3 Episodes: Will the official count be reduced?
With the sudden emergence of the ongoing 2023 Writers Guild of America strike along with the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, which started a few weeks ago, the chances of the episode count being reduced are cause for concern. But as the release date has been hinted at in 2024, there is a possibility that the network might not opt to decrease the standard 10-episode count with an average runtime of 45 to 59 minutes, which drops on a weekly basis.
It is intended to follow the same count in order to maintain the story’s flow, and we predict the production will move forward rather smoothly as there are months left for it to begin without causing any drastic changes, as the strike can be resolved in a few weeks.
On the other hand, the episode titles and synopsis of the series have not been released yet. The network will publish those details when the episodes are due to air on the streaming service. So, we would advise fans to be patient while waiting for these updates, which will be issued in the coming days, and binge-watch the prior seasons to recall the events. In order to receive updates on when the show premieres, interested viewers can also enable notifications.
