Get ready, readers! The final episode of this beloved series is officially on the way. Continue reading to find out more.
Despite the fact that the second season still has a long way to go! The network wasted no time in revealing the specific details of the much-anticipated season finale, even though there are still a lot of unaired episodes that must be broadcast in order to bring the story to a satisfying end.
The fandom has gotten the good news earlier than they anticipated, which makes the upcoming weeks even more cheerful than before. We are delighted to inform you that the final episode, whose title has yet to be disclosed, is all set to premiere on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the same time slot of 8:30–9 p.m. on CBS and later on Paramount Plus.
On the other hand, CBS has not released the official synopsis of the majority of the upcoming episodes to avoid early spoilers, but it is expected to conclude on the basic premise, “With the B&B open, Sam and Jay start having guests stay. Meanwhile, some of the ghosts start having relationships, and episodes expand on their backstories.”
Check out the exclusive teaser trailer for the final installments at TVLine, quoting, “We can’t wait for fans to see the last few episodes of Season 2. A lot happens: Woodstone Mansion hosts a wedding, we find out where Crash has been, we finally solve Alberta’s murder, and we end the season with a very fun cliffhanger,” as co-showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman told the site exclusively.
Even though the final episodes are all set to conclude the storyline, there isn’t anything for the fans to worry about as the show has been renewed for a third season, which was revealed back in January 2023. It’s fair to say that the network understands the impact that this show has had over its two seasons on millions of viewers around the world.
Making it one of the reasons for the network to renew it for another season. For reference, the second season alone on Rotten Tomatoes has received an approval rating of 100% with an average rating of 7/10, based on seven critic reviews. Moreover, Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned a score of 69 out of 100 based on 13 critics, indicating “generally favorable reviews.”
This makes it clear that no major network like CBS will scrap the show from getting another season this early on when there are so many competing networks with popular franchises throughout the year.
