Is Ginny and Georgia Season 2 coming to Netflix anytime soon? Read on to find out.
Ginny and Georgia, a creation of Sarah Lampert and Debra J. Fisher, is an American comedy-drama that brings forth an impeccable glimpse into the Miller household. This family constitutes of mother Georgia Miller and her fifteen-year-old teen daughter Ginny and nine-year-old son Austin. Unlike any other family, this one is unusual.
The thirty-year-old mother is wayward while the fifteen-year-old is more mature than her mother. Consequently, this gives rise to some hilarious situations as much as it deals with a lot of issues that probe our millennial life. The creator had made these characters deal with the anxieties of ‘coming of age’, race, identity, and criminal activities.
It might remind you of the Gilmore Girls but with a modern edge. The Season 1 of this series was well received and aired on February 24 of last year. While fans looked forward to another season of the series, Season 2 got its green light very soon.

Ginny and Georgia Season 2: What to expect?
Season 1 of this unconventional mother-daughter drama on Netflix gained popularity because of its focus on varied societal issues. Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger and the audience is looking for answers. One thing for sure, if not anything, the new season would be a roller coaster of emotions with a few more interlinking plots.
The season 1 finale came to a close with Ginny packing his bags and the audiences speculated her to be running away with Austin. Later Antonia Gentry, who plays Ginny Miller, confirms that her character might be running away to Zion’s Boston apartment. This explanation can only pacify the fans until Season 2 comes up. In addition to that, there are various other questions that crop up, for instance: if Georgia gets to marry the mayor, about the love relationship between Ginny and Marcus, about Austin missing his school, etc. Also, there are characters whose multiple faces are yet to surface.
In this multilayered series, Season 2 has a lot more to offer than what meets the eye. The writing has proved to be bold enough as it addresses critical issues of a multi-racial protagonist who finds it difficult to fit in, a lesbian friend who is struggling with her love life, and also the inclusion of American Sign Language, something we do not come across easily on the screen. Sarah Lampert had confirmed to OprahMag.com that she wants to ‘dive into the intricacies of the personalities each of the characters hold.
