Kaylee Hottle, known for her roles in Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, has died at 18.
Hottle’s father, Joshua Hottle, confirmed the news of the young actor’ death to TMZ on July 21.
Kaylee was killed in a fatal car crash in Maryland on the morning of July 21.
In a 22-minute long Facebook live video, a grief-stricken Joshua shared the tragic news with her fans.
“I am taking a flight that I never would like to take,” Joshua wrote in the caption.
Joshua informed the fans through the video that he was flying from Texas to Maryland in order to claim Kaylee’s body.
As per reports, Kaylee was involved in a serious car accident on the morning of July 21. She later died en route to the hospital.
Kaylee and her parents are all Deaf.
Kaylee attended the Texas School for the Deaf.
Grieving the actor’s untimely death, the school posted a statement on Facebook.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that one of our TSD seniors, Kaylee Hottle, tragically passed away yesterday in a car accident in Frederick, Maryland,” the statement read.
The statement added, “Our hearts are with Kaylee’s family, friends, classmates, and everyone who knew and loved her during this incredibly difficult time. At this time, we have very limited information and ask that everyone respect the privacy of Kaylee’s family and refrain from sharing or speculating about the circumstances surrounding the accident.”

Soon after the news of Kaylee’s death, fans started flooding the comment section of her last post which was shared on Instagram earlier in January this year.
A fan wrote, “rest in peace beautiful soul.”
Another commented in disbelief, “Nooooo I can’t believe this.”
A third wrote, “No no no so saddd.”
A fourth said, “Recently my son love to watching King Kong and can’t believe it I saw the news today.”
Referring to the death of Jurassic Park star Sam Neill, a fifth said, “First Mr.San Neill then this We can’t catch a break rip kaylee.”
