After what happened in the last episode of Grey’s Anatomy, many viewers are left wondering if this is the last time they will ever get to see Dr. Addison Montgomery on their television screens. The audience was left with a lot of suspense and worrisome thoughts, speculating if she might actually have been killed off.
Especially if you consider that Kate Walsh’s beloved character Addison Montgomery isn’t a main cast member of the show. She is a recurring cast member who appears with less screen time when compared to others, so it is a fair concern to raise and get some quick answers as to what happened to her.
After all, no one wants her character to be discarded due to a sudden accident in any manner!
While the anticipation of knowing her faith was putting the viewers on the edge of their seats. Fortunately, with the premiere of the 12th episode, “Pick Yourself Up,” on Thursday, the fandom eventually received clarification on the situation after hours of debate on social media.
If you recall, the previous episode concluded with our beloved Dr. Addison Montgomery lying face down on the road after being hit by a vehicle, which was shocking and caused major confusion to the viewers, to say the least. But later, much to everyone’s relief, we finally get to see that Addison is still alive and saves numerous lives despite having a dislocated left shoulder.
There should be no doubt in the minds of the viewers that Dr. Addison Montgomery is the truly ultimate hero in the Grey’s Anatomy universe, and she needs to stay with us for a very long time!
She deserves all the love that the fans have shown her over the episodes. Moreover, it’s good to see that she is doing fine and recovering from her injuries. As, in the new episode, we see Link recommending Addison to take a break from the road to let her body heal, but Addison talks to Amelia about how many people need her out there.
Even after having a major accident, she is full of spirit and wants to do her duty and help others in need, which is simply awe-inspiring to see and makes viewers think that there really aren’t any reasons for the medical drama to remove this character from their world. We can’t wait for her to get fully better and be back on her feet at Seattle’s Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
While you wait for her comeback, take a look at the official clip from the episode where Addison is in the hospital, as shared on the official ABC YouTube channel below:
