When is Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 coming to your screens? Read on to find out.

‘The blood shortage continues; Meredith makes a risky decision regarding a patient; Owen’s actions to help his fellow veterans come to light.’ This is where we left the last season of Grey’s Anatomy. Now when Meredith is at the helm of the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, what will happen next? Will there be another ‘OMG moment?’

The famous drama, going on since 2005, still comes up with a new plot and twists with every season. This time, will the writers fail to make it new and exciting? Hopefully, not! With the season finale, we saw the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in shambles. There was havoc when a number of doctors quit, the residency program was shut down, and doctors were on the run from the police and two cornerstones of the hospital. This is where the show took leave with no future plans.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Release Date

After a year, the famous American drama is coming back to the screens, but not so soon. Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 is not coming in September. The series is all set to premiere on Thursday, October 6 at 9 PM ET on the popular American commercial broadcast television network ABC. On the next day, that is October 7, the new episodes will be available on Hulu. When will the series come up on Netflix? It is expected to come up after 30 days of the finale airing on ABC.

We cannot miss this tweet from Grey’s Anatomy that popped up on August 16:

Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Cast

In this season, there’s a lot of the hustle and bustle for the loyal fans of Grey’s Anatomy, especially Ellen Pompeo. She will be there for Grey’s Anatomy only for the first eight episodes as Dr. Meredith Grey. She’ll then continue as an executive producer in Grey’s Anatomy. A majority of the series regulars are returning in Grey’s Anatomy Season 19. Grey’s Anatomy is coming to the screens on October 6 with:

Chandra Wilson as Dr. Miranda Bailey

Kevin McKidd as Dr. Owen Hunt

James Pickens, Jr. as Dr. Richard Webber

Anthony Hill as Dr. Winston Ndugu

Kim Raver as Dr. Teddy Altman

Chris Carmack as Dr. Atticus Lincoln

Camilla Luddington as Dr. Jo Wilson

Caterina Scorsone as Dr. Amelia Shepherd

Kelly McCreary as Dr. Maggie Pierce

Jake Borelli as Dr. Levi Schmitt

Scott Speedman is switching from a series regular to recurring status for Grey’s Anatomy Season 19. He had signed a one-year series regular contract for Season 18 as a romantic interest for Pompeo’s Meredith. In the season finale, they had a falling out when Meredith told him that he should probably go back to Minnesota. Out of the many cliffhangers of the finale, one was here when she ran after him, but he was gone.

Apart from these, the fans will get to see some newbies at the hospital too. Five first-year surgical residents are heading to Grey Sloan in Grey’s Anatomy Season 19, mentioning Alexis Floyd from Inventing Anna, Niko Terho from The Thing About Harry, Midori Francis from Good Boys, Adelaide Kane from Once Upon a Time, and Harry Shum Jr. from Glee. Will Season 19 be the series finale with Pompeo’s reduced presence as the show’s titular character?

Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Plot

While we cannot expect much about the plot, and there’s no trailer yet, we can look into some of the major cliffhangers of the last season. The fans would remember when Pickens, Jr.’s Richard left with little to do as the Grey Sloan teaching program was shut down, sending current residents, including Borelli’s Levi, packing. Will the teaching program never come up again? Then, we saw Wilson’s Bailey quit, with Meredith becoming an interim Chief Of Surgery. This is expected to bring huge changes in the series’ dynamics. McKidd’s Owen and Raver’s Teddy were last spotted on the run, flying on a plane with their kids. Are they flying to some other country?

It will be fun to watch how Meredith tries to figure out how to serve in her new role as interim chief of surgery. Fightmaster) and the rollercoaster entanglement of Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) and Atticus Lincoln (Chris Carmack)? Join the crew to watch Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 on October 6, 2022.
