Hailee Steinfeld and husband Josh Allen are ready to embrace parenthood in capital letters!
The Love Myself singer and her Buffalo Bills quarterback husband are expecting their first baby together. As reported by PEOPLE, Steinfeld announced her pregnancy in her Substack newsletter, while celebrating her 29th birthday by sharing a round-up of her 29 favorite moments from the past year. At the end of her list, Steinfeld shared a video in which she announced the good news.
In the video, the Hawkeye actress could be seen posing in the snow, flaunting her pregnant belly, as Allen kissed her stomach. Sharing a heartwarming moment together, the couple was seen smiling and posing together while Steinfeld wore a fleece that read “mother” across it. The video then foregrounded two hands being held in front of a tiny snowman.
According to E! News, the actress, while reflecting on her 29th birthday, wrote, “28 was wild, beautiful, humbling, and full of the kind of moments that sneak up and change you quietly. This year, I’ve been reminded of how precious life is.”
Shortly after, the couple took to Instagram to break the news to their followers by posting the same video. Allen commented on the clip with, “I love you ❤️.”

In an interview with Bustle back in November, the 29-year-old Pitch Perfect 2 star opened up about her life with her husband, stating that her life started to “make sense” after marrying Allen. When the “Starving” singer was asked if she’s thinking about kids, she replied without hesitation, “Of course.”
In the same interview, Steinfeld expressed her gratitude to have found her person. She said, “That inner peace that you have, that rock, that solid, consistent part of your life is indescribable. I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world. Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.”
The couple were first romantically linked in 2023, and on May 31, 2025, they tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California. According to PEOPLE, in the June edition of her Beau Society email newsletter, the actress revealed all the “magical” details of her wedding weekend.
Steinfeld shared, “I’m sitting here with Josh, and we’re reminiscing on the best weekend of our lives for the millionth time. Over the past two weeks, random yet very specific memories have been popping back into our heads, and we’ve been blurting them out to each other, often through smiles, laughs, and tears.”
“It felt like love was running through the veins of every tree at our gorgeous venue in Santa Barbara. Our family and friends coming together amplified it”, she added.
Later in October, while speaking to Variety, Steinfeld shared what the “greatest thing” about being married to her husband was. It was how her life changed when she tried to slow down and organize her time to be with him.
She said, “What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule. So it’s actually a blessing — I try to organize my time so I can be where he is.”
Not only that, but the actress revealed that when Allen is in the middle of his football season, she does not miss any chance to slow down a bit to be by his side.
“This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him, and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me,” she said.
Consequently, Steinfeld experienced a positive change in her relationship with Allen. She said, “I’ve never lived this part of life before — outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever.”
