It seems like Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt’s divorce battle is getting messier day by day. It was all after an explosive report of the FBI’s investigation was released publicly on Brad Pitt in 2016. Now, a friend of the world-famous Oscar winner feels that the federal agency will not be reopening the same investigation. For the unversed, Jolie had earlier claimed in front of the FBI that Brad Pitt allegedly left her bruised after having pushed her inside a private jet. It was four days before she filed a divorce in September 2016 that left all six of their children extremely upset.
The abuse allegations
According to Page Six, a source said, “The statute of limitations is way gone and they have seen all the information at hand. There is nothing new here. At the time they considered all of Angelina’s allegations and didn’t bring any charges.” The same source further added, “The FBI investigated the incident thoroughly, there is zero chance of them reopening the case. This is all a concerted effort to smear Brad.” The anonymous friend also stated that Angelina Jolie’s claim against her ex-husband Brad Pitt was raised in two completely different contexts legally. Among them, one was the alleged plane incident, and the other one was during their long custody trial.
The couple’s divorce
In one of the cases, no charges were brought, while in the other, Brad was granted 50-50 custody of his children from Angelina Jolie. As per a source, this is a part of the six-year-long campaign carried forward by the actress to discredit Brad Pitt. They are reportedly her versions of events. The source further says, “These claims were raised in the custody hearing and the judge obviously didn’t believe her, otherwise Brad would never have been given joint custody.”
When asked, an FBI spokesperson said that they cannot comment on the case as of now. Talking about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, they are parents to six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox.
