Heartstopper Season 2 Plot
In the next season, we expect to see Charlie and Nick in an official relationship since Nick has finally come out to his mother. We’ll see how the school reacts to this news and especially, Ben. He won’t be happy with the news as he has developed a sense of ownership over Chalie and now that Charlie has found a new boyfriend, who is ready to accept him publically, things will get more intense.
Alice Osman has confirmed that in the future seasons, it’s a possibility that the makers will include mental health issues. In an interview with Digital Spy, he said, “If we do get future seasons, I’ll definitely want to be bringing in the themes of mental health, because that’s something that’s really important in the books,” she told us.
“The challenge of writing Heartstopper is exploring those darker issues while keeping the tone so optimistic and hopeful. That has been, like, the struggle of writing it for me the whole way through.
“But I like to think that it’s possible. I feel like I have achieved it in the books. I’ve been able to be very candid about mental health, and I explored that in a real way, while not writing something that’s intensely triggering or really dark and horrible to read or watch. So that is very much my goal for the show.”
Heartstopper Season 2 Cast
We expect the main cast to return for the upcoming seasons after all, what is Heartstopper without Kit Connor returning as Nick and Joe Locke back as Charlie?
