The latest episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, which aired Tuesday, October 28, featured a surprising confession from Heather Gay that sent shockwaves through the cast.

During the group’s luxury yacht trip to Canouan, an island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Heather, 51, revealed to her costar Britani Bateman that she has a past with Below Deck Down Under’s Captain Jason Chambers — the man helming the superyacht for their vacation.

The revelation came after a flirtatious exchange between Heather and Jason caught Britani’s attention. Earlier in the episode, Britani, 54, had admitted she was interested in the Australian captain. But her excitement faded when Heather clung to Jason’s back while using a swim jet, joking that she would “ride him like a f—— Bronco.”

Britani, clearly taken aback, confronted Heather. “You’re canoodling with Jason. He’s not interested in me,” she said.

Heather, who appeared to have had several drinks, replied candidly, “Jason and I are friends. We have a history. We’ve f—– around before, there’s nothing there.”

Britani pressed for clarification, asking, “What do you mean you’ve f—– around before?”

Heather quickly backtracked, saying, “We’re friends, I’m saying we’re friends. There’s latitude.”

Despite her attempt to downplay the admission, Britani admitted she felt “a little jealous.” Heather responded by encouraging her to “jump in” the water with Jason, to which Britani replied, “I don’t operate like that.”

In a confessional later in the episode, Heather appeared stunned when producers reminded her of what she had said. “I said that?” she asked in disbelief. “Serious face? You can’t use that. I don’t know why I said that to her. Delete, delete!”

Heather’s unexpected confession wasn’t the only dramatic moment aboard the yacht. Later that evening, tensions flared during a group dinner when Heather turned her attention toward another castmate, Lisa Barlow.

“I don’t care about anyone outside of the people seated at this table, and I just want to be real with you: I think you’re the source of all the dirt,” Heather told Lisa.

Meredith Marks then explained to Lisa that several members of the group believed she had been leaking stories about them to online gossip sites. “The group thinks you’re the one who fed everything to the blogs,” Meredith said.

Lisa, visibly upset by the accusation, defended herself. “I am the mother f—— Don of Salt Lake City, I guess, because this is f—— weird,” she said.

The confrontation left the group divided and Lisa in tears. The episode closed with an emotional scene showing Lisa calling her husband, John, in distress. “Come get me,” she said through tears.

The confrontation capped off an episode packed with emotional outbursts, unexpected revelations, and shifting alliances, trademarks of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City franchise. Heather’s admission about her “history” with Captain Jason added a new layer of intrigue to the group’s Caribbean getaway, while her accusation against Lisa hinted that tensions among the women are far from resolved.

Heather Gay, a longtime cast member of the series, has been known for her candid and often humorous approach to drama, but her drunken confession about Jason Chambers marked one of the most unfiltered moments of the season. Jason, who stars on Bravo’s Below Deck Down Under, has not publicly commented on Heather’s remarks.

Meanwhile, Lisa’s emotional reaction and her tearful phone call to John suggest that her feud with Heather and Meredith will continue to unfold in future episodes.
