JPEGMAFIA and Kanye West had a recent meetup, a news update that attracted its fair share of detractors. However, it seems like the former is not here to listen to any kind of criticism about the same. He also shared a tweet about the meetup and its subsequent backlash on X that was subsequently deleted. Later, Ye went on to repost the same tweet on one of his Instagram stories on January 27, 2024. It shows how Peggy went into great detail in the deleted tweet about how much respect he has for the 808s & Heartbreaks rapper.

JPEGMAFIA’s response to critiques

Here are the details of JPEGMAFIA’s tweet meant for his critics who criticized him for his recent meetup with Kanye West. He reportedly said, “When i said i love an artist there’s nothing political about it.” He further said, “Ye is my favorite artist of all time. I’ve been saying it for years. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here period. And I love him period. It’s offensive to me that some people on here took a moment i had been waiting on my whole life and twisted into some weird a** oppression Olympics.”

JPEGMAFIA continued, “You can’t play oppression olympics with a grown black man whose dealt with racism in real time. So please shut the actual f**k up and keep bumping the artist yall like that beat b*****s up and r**e girls in real life. Because that’s your reality not mine.” He ends the note with this, “don’t round me up to be a n**i because your sheltered and stupid and have no respect or context [for] anything black or for my experiences as [a] black man in this country,” he concluded. “just go back to reddit. i make goals and achieve them. you make mean threads. we will never be alike, no matter how much you want it to be.”

The story behind the meetup
