House of the Dragon Season 2 – Potential Cast

Have you watched the released part of House of the Dragon Season 2? It is divided into two time-based sections. The first half refers to the young princess Rhaenyra while the second part follows the older version of Rhaenyra as she fights in a Civil War with her half-brother for the throne. As constant fans of the series, we assume that the second season does not include a massive time jump similar to the one in season 1. With this, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, and Matt Smith might reprise their roles as an adult Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, an adult Lady Alicent Hightower, and Prince Daemon Targaryen, respectively. Their roles and return in House of the Dragon Season 2 will depend on their fate at the end of the first season.

House of the Dragon Season 2: Is it renewed or canceled?

The series is based on a novel of the same name. The book, in turn, is based on some parts of the novel Fire & Blood. The book chronicles the history of the Targaryen dynasty, which once held the most power in Westeros. The first season of House of the Dragon seems to follow the “The Dying of the Dragons” chapter, which documents the Dance of the Dragons, a civil war between Rhaenyra and her half-brother Aegon. With Season 1, will the show finish the storyline and move on to Aegon III’s (Rhaenyra’s son) rule, or leave audiences with a cliffhanger and draw the civil war storyline out?

Is House of the Dragon Season 2 coming in 2022?

Since the first season of House of the Dragon is currently airing its weekly episodes, Season 2 will take a lot of time before viewers are able to watch the show. We know that the series is renewed for a second season, but when we look into the procedure, it may disappoint us. First of all, the pre-production of the series will take a few months, further in which production will take at least six months for a show of this scale, along with the post-production process of a few months. Hence, House of the Dragon Season 2 is coming, but not in 2022.
