HYBE has finally clarified the rumors surrounding the controversy of funding BTS’ upcoming concert in Busan, which is scheduled for October. Recently, reports started doing rounds that the tickets for the concert were sold out in a matter of minutes as soon as they went live. This has, once again, proved the global stardom of the Septet. However, concerns were also raised about the designated location owing to the larger number of people. Hence, the venue got changed to Busan Asiad Main Stadium from the Ilgwang Special Stage.

BigHit Music, the agency associated with the Bangtan Boys, made a special announcement related to the concert regarding the location. Here is what the agency announced on September 2, 2022, “The venue for BTS’ ‘Yet to Come’ in BUSAN, a concert for the Busan World Expo 2030, has been changed from the previously announced Ilgwang special stage to the Busan Asiad Main Stadium.”
Even after that, multiple speculations were still doing rounds regarding the cost of the concert. Now, HYBE has finally addressed the rumors in a statement.

HYBE has reportedly stated that a large part of the concert expenses will get covered by corporate sponsors, online streaming ads, etc. The label has further revealed that it will be covering the rest of the expenses itself. Moreover, the BTS members will not charge any performance fee. With this, they will be fulfilling their wish of doing a free concert for fans.
HYBE has further revealed that the BTS members did not consider the cost in earlier projects too that involved the nation’s interest. The statement further added that HYBE and BTS take pride in their contributions to the nation. It added that the BTS members and the company would ensure that the concert at Busan becomes a meaningful factor in turning the bid for the 2020 World Expo in favor of the Korean city.
BTS’ concert for Busan World Expo 2030
BTS is all set to hold a concert for the bid to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan on October 15, 2022. On August 24, 2022, the Bangtan Boys informed the global fandom platform Weverse about the opening of the much-talked-about concert ‘BTS IN BUSAN’ to pray for the World Expo 2030. For the unversed, the concert is going to be held at a special stage situated in Busan.
The officials from the Expo have reportedly said that the concert will be on the largest scale and is expected to boost the public’s interest in the Busan World Expo 2030. It is also supposed to be the largest event ever conducted in Busan as thousands of consumers are expected to flood the expo.
