The original show was produced by Nickelodeon and ran from 2007-2012. The sitcom centers on Carly Shay, a young girl who launches her own web series called iCarly. At the time, this was a novel idea, and influencers and social media personalities sharing daily lives with followers are now a common sight.

So that you may get a head start on the upcoming chapter and be ready before the series airs on Paramount+, here is a concise summary of all you need to know about the likely release date, storyline, and cast of iCarly Season 3.
iCarly Season 3 Renewal Status
Yes, finally, after the network broadcast all 10 episodes of the second season, which concluded on June 3, 2022, iCarly Season 3 has been picked up by Paramount+. Fans were concerned that the series would end prematurely because there was a significant cliffhanger that needed to be resolved in the upcoming season, which would have been a missed opportunity if the show had not been renewed.
However, after a full month of waiting, in July 2022, the series is being expanded, and the season is not ending abruptly. The official Instagram handle of the show also shared the news with a short teaser clip by quoting, “In 5… 4… Season 3” Take a look at the official post below.

Why did Paramount+ renew iCarly for Season 3?
The series has received favorable reviews from critics. The first season has a 100% approval rating on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with an overall score of 6.7/10 based on eight reviews. It is fair to say that the series deserves to continue for more seasons, given the generally positive reviews it has received over the last two seasons.
However, the major Creddie cliffhanger at the end of Season 2 must be resolved, which left Creddie’s future in doubt after Freddie’s girlfriend Pearl declared that Carly and Freddie were obviously in love and neither denied it is a subject that needs to be dressed for there to be another season is development.
Moreover, Tanya Giles, chief programming officer of streaming at Paramount+ stated, “iCarly’s loyal fan base grew up with Carly, Spencer, and Freddie, and have now fallen in love with Harper and Millicent, too,” Further adding, “We’re thrilled to have Miranda, Jerry, Nathan, Laci, and Jaidyn return for a third season and we know Paramount+’s growing YA audience is as well. And I, for one, must find out what happens with #Creddie!”
iCarly Season 3 Potential Release Date
As of July 28, 2022, the network has not yet officially confirmed the precise premiere date of iCarly Season 3. Remember that the renewal was only disclosed recently, making any information regarding the release date seem incredibly speculative. On the plus side, it appears that the forthcoming season won’t be postponed and will arrive sooner than expected. The upcoming season’s filming will begin later this year, and it is anticipated that it will air sometime in 2023.
Given the premiere of the previous two seasons, if we were to predict, the third season premiere would most likely occur between April and June of 2023. Likewise, we would want to underline that at this point, everything is just conjecture. As a result, when production begins and progresses according to schedule, Paramount+ will announce the release dates for the upcoming season in the months that follow. Fans should keep an eye on it till then.
iCarly Season 3 Plot
The upcoming season is expected to pick up from the finale episode of the second season, iThrow a Flawless Murder Mystery Party, released on June 3, 2022. The episode was directed by Morenike Joela Evans and written by Jacques Mouledoux. In the finale episode of the second season, the viewers got to see that when Pearl admits that she doesn’t know much about Freddie’s interests, Carly realizes that she would have to prepare the majority of the party for his birthday. However, during the party, there are some indications that Carly and Freddie could like one another, which causes Pearl to become uneasy and eventually leave the room.
While Millicent is preoccupied with her new friendship with Derek and Marissa tries to build a relationship with her, Spencer and Harper leave the party early to meet their dates. So, it is expected that this already established premise will lead to the episodes of iCarly Season 3. The new season is expected to take up any cliffhangers and subplots from the previous one and dive right into where it was left off, giving viewers something new to think about instead of the same old plotlines. The network needs to persuade fans to watch the series in order to produce the best content and narrative while giving these beloved characters first priority.
iCarly Season 3 Cast and Crew
It is anticipated that the original actors will return and continue the plot in the upcoming season. Additionally, as of July 28, 2022, the network had not yet made any major casting announcements. The following is a list of the series’ notable characters:
