With the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe nearing its end, a trip to where the journey of financial, cultural and cinematic success started becomes mandatory. MCU was born with the premiere of Iron Man in 2008, which was directed by Jon Favreau, and starring Robert Downey Jr. Ever since, the Marvel Universe has been invincible with back-to-back blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and the recent Marvel’s Multiverse sage, among many.
Among these critically acclaimed movies, there is another character who has finally made her way into the Marvel comics and was successful in making a live-action debut in one of the biggest movies of the year.
Touted as the crime-fighting Ironheart, Riri Williams is an ingenious child who has welded armor that is not quite unlike that of our favorite Iron Man. A fan-favorite amongst the comics community, owing to her “unique characterization and lovable personality” (Collider), one of her premiere appearances in Marvel movies was in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
