Ever since the season 6 finale on July 31, 2022, fans have been wondering whether Season 7 would premiere on The CW or Netflix in October 2022.
Season 6 suddenly transports all the characters back to the 1950s while saving Riverdale. The fans see Archie and his friends back in high school, with reminiscences of life in the future present only in the mind of Jughead. Beginning with a special five-episode event, Archie and Betty try to focus on their romantic relationship while there is a bomb planted by Hirmal Lodge under Archie’s bed. In an interesting turn of events, the moment Archie and Betty wake up, they find themselves in the town of Rivervale.
Adding a darker twist, season 6 revolves around ghosts, curses, witches, human sacrifices, demons, and whatnot. With season 6 adding such a plot twist, fans are only waiting to see what happens in Riverdale Season 7. However, there is no official information regarding the release date of Riverdale Season 7.
When will Riverdale Season 7 release?
According to Netflix Life, Riverdale Season 7 will not release on The CW or Netflix in October 2022, unfortunately. The seventh season is scheduled for a midseason premiere which means that the final season will be streaming sometime in 2023.
Once the final season has begun streaming on The CW, it will certainly hit the Netflix library eight days after the series finale. However, at the time of writing, there is no official information regarding the exact premiere or date, or episode count.
So, at the moment, Riverdale fans would have to wait till mid-2023 at the earliest. Be that as it may, this is also dependent upon the episode count of the season and the release date of the series on The CW.
Although we don’t know whether Season 7 has begun with the production process, we can confirm that it has begun with the pre-production process.
