Another day, yet another engagement rumor swirling around about a very special and adored happy couple in Hollywood!
The captivating Irish actress, 29, who is known to keep a very private life, has been making waves all around the internet thanks to some of the newly released new pictures which have been circulating on the web caught by paparazzi, that have grabbed many headlines and definitely caught the attention of fans by sparking engagement rumors when she stepped out with a diamond ring on her left hand at the Louis Vuitton Womenswear Spring-Summer 2024 show earlier in October.
As stated, Ronan has maintained her privacy by not talking about her relationship publicly.
But there is no doubt among spectators that these new images have once again ignited the debate among fans about whether Golden Globe Award winner (Lady Bird) and her Scottish boyfriend, actor Jack Lowden, who co-founded the production company Acade Pictures and was recently seen in a six-part drama series, The Gold, where he played the role of Kenneth Noye, have finally decided to tie the knot after allegedly being quietly dating for a few years.
The couple has been in a relationship since 2018 when they first met each other as co-stars in Mary Queen of Scots as Irish-born Ronan played the titular role alongside Lowden as her on-screen husband, Lord Darnley. In addition to this, rumors about their engagement first started spreading like wildlife when an Instagram post uploaded by Lowden in July 2023 sparked speculation.
In the series of pictures hiking near Pitlochry, one particular photo grabbed the most attention as the picture seemed to capture engagement rings alongside the couple’s pet dog’s paw on the trig point! Loeden captioned the post: “Ben Vrackie, summit 2759ft. So not classed as a Munro, but a Corbett. Steep, beautiful path, unparalleled views of Perthshire, and the heather starting to put her purple on. Or… her OUT out outfit.”

This isn’t the only time Lowden, 33, spoke highly about Ronan while filming Mary Queen of Scots. He shared his experience while working with his co-star during a panel with AOL, “It was remarkable working with Saoirse.” Further adding, “The woman is a force of nature on and off screen, and utterly fearless and a brilliant leader as well. For being 24 years old, it’s just constantly amazing to me, not just her work but how she is on a set is amazing. “
He expressed the same sentiments with Esquire UK, highlighting their work as producers in an adaptation of Amy Liptrot’s memoir The Outrun. “We finished shooting in October last year, but it was a great adventure. Saoirse is, first and foremost, one of the best actors in the world, so to work with her in that way and help in any way I could was great. It’s hopefully the first of many — it was wonderful,” Lowden said of Ronan, who also portrays Liptrot in the movie.
Nora Fingscheidt would direct a film adaptation, which is written by Fingscheidt and Liptrot.
On the other hand, Ronan, too, hasn’t shied away from giving a small glimpse into their relationship when responding to Lowden’s comment that she is the acting equivalent of a Ferrari in a September interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK. “When a person you respect as much as I do him says that, it means more than anyone else’s opinion,” she said.
