Do you find yourself eagerly awaiting the next season of Seal Team? If yes, then continue reading to learn more about Season 7.
After looking at the current status of the various streaming platforms, due to the ongoing 2023 WGA strike along with the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, it’s not far-fetched to say that the 2023–24 fall streaming season has faced major hurdles as it has become a big deal for the entertainment industry, leading to one of the reasons why the remaining fall schedule had to be changed in order to ensure that the rollout of content is still intact and that viewers around the world would get a chance to at least see their favorite shows.
If you have been keeping up, then you’ll know that the negotiations are still ongoing, and they don’t seem to end anytime soon, as many reports have suggested that the ongoing dual strikes might get extended until October 2023. Therefore, it is reasonable to believe that fans shouldn’t have high expectations! As one of the main concerns, which has been circulating like wildfire on social media, is whether or not the rumors about Seal Team Season 7 being canceled are genuine. If you are wondering the same thing, then we can assure you that you have reached the right place to know all the answers!
As of writing this, we can confirm to our readers that the cancellation reports are just rumors, as there is no doubt that the show, which has managed to capture the hearts of viewers with six amazing seasons, will not be discontinued this early on. Hence, there is nothing to be worried about, as back in January 2023, Seal Team was renewed by the network for the highly anticipated seventh season! After all, the show has managed to stay at the top of the streaming charts for weeks, which is one of the reasons why the network has kept it safe from being scrapped prematurely.
Moreover, the show’s dedicated fanbase has also taken to social media, showcasing their love, which makes further clear that the demand for the series is still skyrocketing and there is no chance that the network will cancel it, especially when the viewership is also growing, and we are certain it will continue to grow with a new season when it is released on Paramount+. In short, there is nothing for Seal Team fans to fear about the seventh season, which is still happening with a few exceptions, as it will not be a part of the 2023–34 fall broadcast season.
Will SEAL Team Season 7 premiere in 2023 or not?
We know that it’s been a while since the beloved military drama television series was renewed for the highly anticipated seventh season earlier this year on January 18, 2023. Since then, loyal fans all over the web have been curious to know when the much-awaited seventh season will premiere, with many suspecting if the series will return this year or not. If you are also wondering the same thing, then we can assure you that, as of writing this, we can assure you that the official premiere date for SEAL Team Season 7 has not been confirmed by Paramount+ yet.
Due to this, any hopes for the series release in 2023, let alone expectations for Paramount+ to release any new information in the coming months, are way too far-fetched!
We are certain in reporting this because the military drama series, which was created by Benjamin Cavell, hasn’t even begun filming for the new episodes due to the ongoing 2023 Writers Guild of America strike along with the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, which has put a halt on the majority of Hollywood production houses with various writers rooms until a resolution is made in favor of the writer’s and actor’s compensation, which has recently started negotiations but has not reached any common ground, leading one to suspect that the dual strikes might last until October 2023!

On the bright side, there is a reason for the fans to be happy, as the network has decided to include reruns of the SEAL Team’s prior seasons into the fall schedule in order to fill the empty slots caused by the dual strikes, which will begin on November 2, 2023! This is a great chance to catch up with the show in case you weren’t able to do so before. On the other hand, the possibility is that the show might get delayed even further as the dual strikes have been gaining more momentum, and if they don’t reach a resolution within the next few weeks, especially after the recent meetings,
Then it’s not far-fetched to say that the gap between seasons for many original series usually tends to be roughly a year, which is typical for a show of this caliber to wrap up its meticulous production on schedule. Hence, as per our guess, if the production does begin sometime later this year, then we can assume that the new episodes might arrive as early as 2024 or even 2025! The change in the release window will also directly impact the three production stages because the creators surely want to deliver a good show for the audience who have loved this show since its inception.
Until there is more confirmation, the fans will have to keep a close eye on the social media handles of the SEAL Team by following them to get all the latest updates. Also, check out the renewal announcement, quoting: “Target acquired: Season 7 of #SEALTeam is coming to #ParamountPlus.”

What can the fans expect from SEAL Team Season 7?
The time has come to embark on a thrilling journey with the new season of this captivating series is ready to take us deeper into the world of Bravo Team, a sub-unit of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group, with a promise to stay faithful to its core essence which is set to uphold the very essence that has made it a fan-favorite. Hence, it’s time to brace yourself for an exhilarating blend of suspense, drama, and unexpected twists that will leave you on the edge of your seat. As with the prior seasons, the show will stay true to the theme that, as per the official logline, states:
“Failure isn’t an option for the new Navy SEALs, and that kind of pressure can take a toll on the members of the special operations forces’ most elite unit. This team – which includes Jason, the group’s intense leader, and Ray, Jason’s longtime confidant, along with loyal soldier Sonny and SEAL hopeful Clay – trains, plans, and executes some of the most dangerous, high-stakes missions and deploys for clandestine missions around the globe at a moment’s notice. While serving their country is a worthy and rewarding cause, it can put a strain on the SEALs and their families, causing the guys to look out for one another in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds, both on and off the job.”
Moreover, when the seventh season’s renewal announcement was officially made by Paramount+, there was no mention of the SEAL Team stand-alone movie, which was announced last February, just days after the sixth season’s renewal. Since then, there have been no details revealed about the greenlighted project beyond its creative team, star/executive producer Boreanaz, executive producer Christopher Chulack, and executive producer/showrunner Spencer Hudnut.
So, it is pretty much safe to say that SEAL Team Season 7 would follow the events in the last season, with no movie between them, which is a great heads up for the fans who were curious to know about the project’s stays. Lastly, as mentioned above, the next season will pick up where Season 6 ended, “Fair Winds and Following Seas.” In the final episode, the viewers got to see a poignant scene where Jason (Boreanaz) is getting reprimanded for speaking publicly about his TBI. Then, everyone on his team steps up, sharing their own traumatic experiences and putting Bravo’s future in limbo.
SEAL Team Season 7 Potential Spoilers: What has been revealed?
As we delve into potential spoilers for the seventh season, it’s important to brace ourselves for the unexpected twists and turns that are sure to leave us on the edge of our seats for the next chapter of Bravo Team, which we know by now is a subunit of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group, the most elite unit of Navy SEALs, as they plan and undertake dangerous missions worldwide with little notice, and the burden placed on them and their families.
“We look forward to bringing ‘SEAL Team’ fans even more of the series’ poignant storylines and thrilling missions with the upcoming seventh season,” said Tanya Giles, chief programming officer of Paramount Streaming. Further adding, “The series continues to evolve and grow its audience. It is a great example of the types of programming that we see resonate with our subscribers.”
“They are once again in jeopardy but most importantly united, and when Bravo steps up for each other, they usually get themselves out of these situations,” showrunner Spencer Hudnut told TV Insider. “What [that ending] does is it kind of tips everything on its head a little bit. But at the end of the day, these guys operating, these guys being out in the field is usually the engine of the show. It’s really, can they get back to that?”
“We’ve done things like that in the past. I just think part of this decision was that just to finish Max’s work this season was such a struggle,” he explained. “The idea of being able to plan ahead and figure that out just seems hard, but we’ll never say no to anything. Clay’s legacy will live on within the show. And yeah, if there’s an opportunity where we could do something like that, I’d be all for it because he’s such a huge part of the show.”

Who will reprise their roles?
We speculate that the main cast members who are expected to return are as follows:
David Boreanaz as Jason Hayes, Neil Brown Jr. as Ray Perry, AJ Buckley as Sonny Quinn, Toni Trucks as Lisa Davis, and Raffi Barsoumian as Omar Hamza. The recurring cast includes Jessica Paré as Mandy Ellis, Alona Tal as Stella Baxter, Parisa Fakhri as Naima Perry, Jusitin Melnick as Brock Reynolds, Judd Lormand as Eric Blackburn, Mike Wade as Wes Soto, Tyler Grey as Trent Sawyer, and Dita The Hair Missile Dog as Cerberus.
On the other hand, there can be some new additions and removals from the cast as some changes have already been confirmed that the next season will not feature Max Thieriot (Special Warfare Operator First Class Clay Spenser, a.k.a. Bravo 6/6B) after the character was killed off last season. Lastly, SEAL Team is produced by CBS Studios and executive produced by Spencer Hudnut, Christopher Chulack, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Mark Owen, and Boreanaz.
Lastly, the series is distributed worldwide by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
SEAL Team Season 7 Official Episode Count: How many will be there and where to stream?
The seventh season is expected to include a total of 10 episodes with an average runtime of 43–49 minutes, just like the sixth season. The episode count has been reduced because initially, SEAL Team was a broadcast drama, but after being picked up by Paramount+, all those sets must be kept year-round and are inactive for more than half the time, so the overall episode count has been set at ten every season. The distribution of financing must be well planned out to produce the greatest episodes that the viewers actually deserve since all productions scrutinize their finances.
Additionally, SEAL Team Season 7, along with the prior seasons, will be available on all prior platforms that have streaming rights, as well as on-air on FuboTV or Paramount. Moreover, all the seasons of SEAL Team are currently available to watch for free on the CBS platform. The series is also available to rent or buy on Google Play, iTunes, Vudu, and Amazon Instant Video, based on the viewers’ location, with preferred membership plans that the users can choose from. In Canada, the series is available on Global TV at the same time as the United States premiere.
SEAL Team Season 7 Official Trailer: Has it been released?
Unfortunately, the network has not released any new promos for the upcoming season, which will take some time after production starts to wrap up, which will take time to happen with the ongoing writer’s and actor’s strike. Moreover, the promotions usually begin a month or two before the official premiere of the new season, so there is still a lot of time left for marketing to begin.
In the meantime, watch the official trailer for the sixth trailer, which shows the pressures placed on the members of the Bravo Team, a sub-unit of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group, the most elite organization of Navy SEALs, as they plan and undertake dangerous missions worldwide with little notice, and the burden placed on them and their families.
