It’s time for ITZY’s comeback and we have already got some good news for their fans. It was on June 2, 2022, at midnight KST that the girl group surprised the fans with some exciting bits of news related to their comeback. So, they are going to be quite busy in the second half of 2022, and how! So, the ITZY members are all set to release their upcoming mini-album CHECKMATE on July 15, 2022, at 1 pm KST much to the excitement of the fans. On the very same day, the girl group will be featuring in their comeback special on Mnet at 7 pm KST.

ITZY’s world tour
The ITZY members will also jet off for their first-ever world tour in the next month of their album’s release. For the unversed, their world tour is also titled CHECKMATE and it will kick off in Seoul, South Korea, with two concert nights happening on August 6, and 7, 2022, respectively. Following this, the members will then head to the US to continue with their tour. The members are supposed to visit eight different cities in October and November this year. So, the ITZY members will be performing in Los Angeles on October 26, Phoenix on October 29, Dallas on November 1, Houston on November 3, Atlanta on November 5, Chicago on November 7, Boston on November 10, and New York on November 13.
If that isn’t enough, JYP Entertainment, the agency associated with ITZY has hinted at more upcoming tours eventually.
CHECKMATE
The ITZY members are all set to kick off the excitement with the teasers of CHECKMATE starting from June 6, a month ahead of the mini-album’s release. The teasers will include two sets of films, a title poster, a tracklist, concept photos, a sneak peek of the title track, and more! Well, we are sure that the promotions for CHECKMATE are going to be quite exciting for the ITZY members.

About the group
The South Korean girl group ITZY was formed on February 12, 2019. The members of the group include Lia, Yeji, Yuna, Chaeryeoung, and Ryujin. Their first single album was titled It’z Different. They are the first-ever K-pop girl band to have received the Rookie Gland Slam. The group was also conferred with multiple awards ever since its formation.
