The summer when Jennifer Aniston subtly introduced her boyfriend to the world.
Bidding adieus to the summer vibes, the Friends alum posted an Instagram carousel on September 7, 2025, which depicted the actress enjoying the time of her life with friends and loved ones, including Courteney Cox, Sandra Bullock, Adam Sandler, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes.
However, what caught fans’ attention was the penultimate photo out of the 18-photo carousel, foregrounding a mystery man’s head that many suspect to be her boyfriend Jim Curtis. In the picture, the alleged boyfriend is captured looking at the horizon, admiring the picturesque sunset. Due to the shade covering his head and back, his appearance became even more difficult for the fans to sketch.
The 56-year-old Emmy winner captioned the carousel, “Thank you summer”.

Despite the difficulty in ascertaining the identity of the mystery man, fans were quick to conclude that the man looking at the sunset is Jim Curtis, a life coach and author. While one of the fans aligned with the subtle tone of the post, commenting, “The soft launch”, another went so far as to comment, “You think we wouldn’t notice photo number 17?”
In July, PEOPLE confirmed that Aniston and Curtis were officially dating, with the insider sharing that the duo was “casually dating and having fun.” Additionally, another source from the news outlet revealed that the pair had been seeing each other “for a few months” after a mutual friend introduced them.
Ever since, the We’re the Millers star has been subtly suggesting their brewing romance. According to E! News, in April, the actress shared about inclining towards hypnotherapy to regulate her anxiety about air travel.
Speaking to Travel + Leisure, Aniston said, “I have an extreme fear of flying.”
Resorting to irrational superstitions, the actress admitted how she would tap the plane with her right hand and board the flight with her right foot for good luck. She later added, “But I have been doing some hypnosis lately, and one of the requirements is to remove all of those superstitions.”
Acknowledging the positive change that hypnosis had on her, the actress expressed, “I have not been doing the right hand, right foot—and now it’s shockingly good!”
Later in May, Aniston took to Instagram to showcase how she spent her Sunday with family and friends. One of the photos from the carousel depicted several books on the coffee table, including Shift: Quantum Manifestation Guide, which Jim and Sara Hadir wrote.

The rumors started to simmer when the couple was first spotted together during the Fourth of July weekend, when Aniston was vacationing in Spain with her friend Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, according to E! News. The reports also revealed that the couple was captured hopping into a sprinter van before they arrived at a yacht party.
Reportedly, the life coach is bringing different sides of Aniston. Speaking to PEOPLE, the source said, “Jim’s great. Her close friends love him. He’s amazing to be around. He has this really calm and secure energy. Jen loves it.”
Although the duo is said to be casually dating, the source confides to US Weekly, sharing that “they have been spending a lot of time together. They are happy and really into each other.”
Recently, on September 5, the couple was spotted in New York City together, presumably on a date night. According to the sources, the Murder Mystery actress was seen styling a white t-shirt and light blue denim, accompanied by a fitted tan blazer that complemented her black leather handbag, black flip-flops, and golden hoops. Curtis, on the other hand, wore a brown jacket and a white shirt styled with a pair of dark pants and white sneakers.
According to reports, this is Jennifer Aniston’s first public romance since her split from Justin Theroux, with whom she was married from 2015 to 2018. Before that, she was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005.
Despite Aniston’s serious relationships that broke after a significant period, there are no hard feelings from her side. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar in 2014, the actress said, “I’m a forgiving person. I think it’s extremely important to forgive. Otherwise it just builds up like toxic waste. There’s nothing worse than holding a grudge.”
