Jinni leaves NMIXX group and ends contract with JYP Entertainment

NMIXX fans will be disappointed to know that Jinni has decided to leave the group. For the unversed, JYP Entertainment has already made an announcement about the diva ending her contract. The same was shared on December 9, 2022, that reads, “Jinni, who has been with NMIXX, will leave her team due to her personal circumstances and terminate her exclusive contract.” So, accordingly, the girl group will continue its activities with the remaining six members – Seolyun, Bayi, Jiwoo, Lily, Haewon, and Gyujin.

The official statement

JYP Entertainment elaborated on Jinni’s exit and said, “We apologize for causing concern to many fans with the sudden news. We hope for lots of encouragement for Jinni, who has embarked on a new path, and NSWER’s warm support for the six members who will be walking toward their dreams with a more mature image.” On the other hand, NMIXX released the group’s second single ‘ENTWURF’ in September this year and also on the title song titled ‘DICE’.

Here is what the entire official statement reads,

“Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.

Jinni, who has been a member of NMIXX up until now, will be leaving the group due to personal circumstances, and her exclusive contract has been terminated.

We apologize for giving many fans cause for concern with this sudden news.

As a result, we are letting you know that NMIXX will be carrying out all of their future scheduled activities as a six-member group.

We ask that you give lots of encouragement to Jinni, who will be walking a new path, and we also ask that NSWER [NMIXX’s fans] give their warm support to the six members who will continue to grow and race towards their dreams.

Once again, we apologize to the fans who have given [NMIXX] so much support.

Thank you.”

NMIXX details


NMIXX is a popular South Korean girl group formed by SQU4D, which is the sub-label of JYP Entertainment. The renowned group is composed of six members: Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin. For the unversed, the group made its debut on February 22, 2022, with its single album Ad Mare. However, they were originally a septet, and for now, Jinni has departed from the group on December 9, 2022.
