Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: What to expect in the new season?

Yuuji Itadori, a high school student possessing strange and rare physical abilities, spends his days visiting his hospitalized grandfather. But one day he found a cursed finger and cursed spirits that slept in his school; they freed themselves, and creatures, or ghosts, appeared. Despite all that is happening, Yuuji enters the school complex to save his classmates from those horrible creatures.

So, it is obvious that the fans of the show can expect more thrilling action, suspense, and supernatural elements in the upcoming season. As mentioned above, the plot casually focuses on high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a clandestine group of Jujutsu sorcerers in an effort to kill Ryomen Sukuna, a potent curse for which Yuji becomes the host.

Hence, it has been reported that the second season will adapt the “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu” and “Shibuya Incident” arcs (chapters 79-136), according to the most recent updates shared by the network in order to capture the essence of the show. On the other hand, the fans can get more excited as The “Gojo’s Past” storyline will also be included in the season, as seen in the Toho Animation official promotional trailer.

Moreover, Manabu Otsuka told Crunchyroll, quote, “The first season of the television series and the movie have been very, very successful. We would like to leverage that success for season 2, but we are not going to be doing the same thing and repeat ourselves. To the fans of the series, I would like to show even greater success and bigger growth in season 2, for both JUJUTSU KAISEN and MAPPA

For the second season, Shōta Goshozono replaced Sunghoo Park as the director, with Sayaka Koiso designing the characters along with Tadashi Hiramatsu, and Yoshimasa Terui returning as the sole composer.
