Kanye West responds to losing out on brand deals and money amid anti-semitic remark controversy

Kanye West is currently making headlines because of his ongoing controversy involving anti-semitic remarks. In light of the recent occurrence of events, several brands that he worked with have cut ties with the rapper. For the unversed, Ye’s Instagram and Twitter accounts were also restricted because of his offensive comments. Now, the rapper is back on Instagram and reacted to the news of brands dropping him from business deals.

Ye’s reactions

The rapper recently took to Instagram and responded to several brands dropping him while demanding to ‘see the contracts.’ He also made a reference to Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, as he spoke about getting allowed to join the platform while addressing his return to Instagram. Here is what Kanye West wrote in his post, “Let’s see the contracts/ The film contracts/ The sports contracts/ The music contracts/ The mortgages.” He also added, “Let’s see the contracts/ So we can or better yet will do better business/ I’ve been beat to a pulp and there’s still no accountability.”

Kanye West also responded to Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, who had earlier urged companies to stop working with the rapper and said, “Ari Emanuel. I lost 2 billion dollars in one day. And I’m still alive. This is love speech. I still love you. God still loves you. The money is not who I am. The people is who I am.” In the past few weeks, Ye got dropped by his representatives from CAA and lost deals with The Gap, Adidas, and Balenciaga. His Essentials playlist was also pulled from Apple Music.

Kanye’s anti-semitic remarks

Kanye West reportedly apologized for his anti-Semitic tweets during one of his interviews with Piers Morgan, in which the rapper also claimed he was ‘absolutely not’ sorry. Ye, as he is known by the name now, addressed the people he offended, saying that he wanted to give them ‘big hugs.’

The 45-year-old rapper has suspended from Instagram and Twitter a week ago after having posted, “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.” Kanye reportedly said, “The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

The apology

Ye recently made an appearance on Uncensored with Piers Morgan that aired on TalkTV on Wednesday. Talking about host Morgan, he tried to hold the rapper accountable for the comments, which is initially refused to apologize for. According to reports, here is what Morgan asked him, “Are you now sorry you said ‘Defcon 3 on Jewish people’?”, to which West replied with a “No.”

For the unversed, Morgan told Kanye West in the long interview that his comments were racist and added that ‘racism is racism.’ The rapper finally did a u-turn after a lot of arguing back and forth with Piers Morgan and apologized for his anti-semitic comments. He reportedly also said, “I will say I’m sorry for the people I hurt, the confusion…I feel like I caused hurt and confusion, and I’m sorry for the families of the people who had nothing to do with the trauma that I have been through.”
