According to the latest reports, Kanye West’s former law firm, Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has finally served papers to the 45-year-old rapper. As per a report by AllHipHop, the rapper’s lawyer confirmed that he received the paperwork for severing ties on February 1, 2023. Here is what Greenberg Traurig attorney Nina D. Nina further said, “During the course of several emails and a phone call with this attorney, I requested that he coordinate personal service of the Order on Ye. On February 1, 2023, the attorney referenced above emailed me the executed Certificate of Service attached hereto as Exhibit A. I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing is true and correct.”

Kanye’s recent campaign
Kanye West’s informal 2024 presidential campaign reportedly failed to be popular among political donors. According to the latest reports, a recent filing reveals the controversial rapper’s campaign brought zero dollars in 2022. For the unversed, the filing was submitted on Monday and surfaced by his political action committee The Daily Beast, Kanye 2020. The same reported spending around $142,000 in expenses in the last three months of the year 2022. However, it could not gather any kind of political donation.
Ye has not officially declared his candidacy which also requires filing paperwork with the FEC. However, the rapper did post a supposed campaign video in November 2022. However, the video that was shared via Twitter has been deleted now. On the other hand, the rapper and designer continued sharing other videos, including a significant one displaying a “Ye 24” logo. It may also be a hint toward his presidential run.
The phone incident
According to a report by TMZ that also has some videos of the said incident, Kanye West assumed that the car behind him was following him and his new wife Bianca Censori in their SUV. It resulted in the Yeezy designer stepping out of the vehicle to confront the people inside.
The alleged video footage shows a woman in the driver’s seat filming the rapper, who appears to be lecturing the people inside the car, saying, “You didn’t have to run up on me like that. If I say stop, stop with your cameras!” The woman who was filming him can also be heard saying “I wasn’t running” and “You’re a celebrity!” It was after the same that Ye can then be seen grabbing the woman’s phone, breaking it, and throwing it in the street, before returning to his own SUV, and driving away.
