The KATSEYE members will not be performing at the Summer Sonic 2025 in Osaka anymore. The group, along with their agency, confirmed this on August 16, citing health reasons in an official statement.
According to reports, two of their members have fallen ill, which has also led to a delay in their travel plans. The same statement also confirmed that the two girls are now doing well and have been cleared for their takeoff to Tokyo.
For the unversed, the band’s next performance is in Tokyo itself on August 17, 2025.
Meanwhile, the KATSEYE members have sent a handwritten apology letter to their fans, while expressing their regret about missing the Summer Sonic Osaka performance.

Official statements regarding the cancellation
The official website of the Summer Sonic 2025 has issued a statement regarding the cancellation of KATESEYE’s performance. It reads,
“KATSEYE, who was scheduled to perform at Osaka MOUNTAIN STAGE on Saturday, August 16, has unfortunately had to cancel their appearance due to a change in travel plans caused by a member’s illness. The member has already recovered and is on their way back to Japan. They are scheduled to perform at the Tokyo show on Sunday, August 17, and the solo showcase on Monday, August 18, with all members present. We sincerely apologize to all fans who were looking forward to the Osaka performance. Please note that there will be no refunds for tickets purchased for the canceled performance.”
The same website also issued the official announcement from the act’s management. Here’s what it says,
“This is your KATSEYE community manager.
We are very sorry to share that KATSEYE will not be able to perform at SUMMER SONIC OSAKA on Saturday, August 16, due to two members feeling unwell which has led to delays in their travel plans to ensure they can properly rest. We know many EYEKONS were looking forward to seeing KATSEYE at SUMMER SONIC OSAKA and we sincerely apologize for the sudden change.
Your health and safety, as well as that of KATSEYE members, is always our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding. Both members have fully recovered and have been cleared to fly to Tokyo. KATSEYE looks forward to seeing fans at SUMMER SONIC TOKYO.

Meanwhile, the group will take a little break after their performance in Tokyo, Japan. Their next leg of tour will begin on November 15 in Minneapolis and end on December 16 in Mexico City.
