Looks like things are heating up between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau, and none of us saw this duet coming.
Katy Perry is saying “bon appétit” to Justin Trudeau, as the pair was seen chowing down at a swanky restaurant in Montreal.
In recent footage, the pop star and former Canadian Prime Minister were seen dining together Monday night at Le Violon. Some might say that they were just pals at dinner, but others believe, this doesn’t seem like a casual hang.
After sparking initial romance rumors, the two were spotted enjoying even more quality time together in Montréal, this time at Mount Royal Park. The former Canadian Prime Minister couldn’t stop smiling while taking a stroll with Perry Monday afternoon, as seen in new photos obtained by TMZ.
As per reports, the two walked around together for about an hour, enjoying the city views but showing no public signs of affection.
Trudeau, 53, and Perry, 40, were joined by the singer’s beloved dog, Nugget. The Teenage Dream songstress attempted to maintain a low-key appearance, shielding her face with a rimmed sunhat. She also wore a white blouse, jeans, and white ballet flats, accessorizing with a brown cross-body bag. Trudeau, on the other hand, wore a T-shirt, jeans, sneakers, and a hat.
The duo reportedly made a quick pit stop at the Ritz-Carlton to drop off Perry’s dog and change clothes before heading to dinner at the ritzy Le Violon.
According to TMZ, an eyewitness saw the two sipping cocktails and sharing several dishes, including one with lobster. Apparently, security guards were keeping tabs on both of them, sitting at the bar with their backs turned, monitoring the date through the mirrored glass.
The chef came to greet the duo, and after their meal, Katy and Justin made their way to the kitchen to thank the staff personally. Reports also say that Danny Smiles, the chef who served them, made it abundantly clear, “no PDA, just two pals kicking it.”
Perry and Trudeau then headed over for drinks at Taverne Atlantic, with the latter’s arm close to the hitmaker’s waist, the outlet reported. The outlet was told that the “Dark Horse” singer ordered a Crown Royal Canadian whiskey.
Perry’s been enjoying single life following her split from Orlando Bloom; the two share a daughter. She’s now making her way through Canada while on tour. Meanwhile, Trudeau and his ex-wife Sophie separated in 2023 after an 18-year marriage. They share three kids: Xavier, 17, Ella Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.
While they’re playing it cool for now, these two are both single, super hot, and would totally make a cute couple. After all, they’re bonding over lobster and city views, how could you not see the potential?
