Is Krapopolis renewed for Season 2?
The series has been renewed early as the move comes at least six months before it is set to premiere as part of a four-show, two-hour animated block on Monday nights starting in May 2023. According to Deadline, “As you can imagine, anything Dan Harmon does is unflinchingly irreverent and filled with his signature, bold characters; and these early episodes of Krapopolis far surpass even our highest expectations,” said Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment, Fox Entertainment.
Further adding, “While we continue to evolve Fox’s animation brand, it’s a true delight watching Dan and his team work their magic on Krapopolis. But it’s an even bigger thrill to be so confident in this special project to be able to reward it with an early renewal.”
The official Twitter handle of the show also confirmed the news by sharing a post among its followers, quoting, “If today couldn’t get any better with the Dan Harmon special event in NYC…we just got exciting news! @FOXTV has renewed a second season of Krapopolis before the first episode even airs. This is HUGE! You can help shape what the show looks like.” Take a look at the post below:

Krapopolis Release Date
The exact launch date has yet to be determined, as the series was recently renewed for a second season by Fox network. However, it has been rumored that the new season would be released exclusively on Fox in 2023, following the scheduled launch with a special preview episode on November 27, 2022. The most likely release window has been suggested to be around mid-2023. On the other hand, this is merely speculation, and the network will reveal all of this information in a few months.
Krapopolis Plot
The official description of the series by Fox states that it is an animated comedy set in mythical ancient Greece by creator Dan Harmon. Centered on a flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters that tries to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other. Krapopolis will serve as the first-ever animated series curated entirely on the Blockchain as Fox and Bento Box enter the NFT business. The company will launch a dedicated marketplace for Krapopolis that will curate and sell digital goods, ranging from NFTs of one-of-a-kind characters and background art and GIFs, as well as tokens that provide exclusive social experiences to engage and reward super fans.
Krapopolis Cast and Crew
The main cast members of the series, with their character descriptions as released by the network, are as follows:
- Ayoade voices Tyrannis: The mortal son of a goddess. He’s the benevolent King of Krapopolis trying to make do in a city that lives up to its name.
- Waddingham plays Deliria: Tyrannis’ mother, goddess of self-destruction and questionable choices. Within her extended Olympian family – forged in patricide and infidelity – she’s known as the trashy one.
- Berry is Shlub: Tyrannis’ father, a mantitaur (half centaur [horse + human], half manticore [lion + human + scorpion]). He is oversexed and underemployed, claims to be an artist, and has literally never paid for anything, in any sense of that word, for his entire life.
- Murphy voices Stupendous: Tyrannis’ half-sister, daughter of Deliria, and a cyclops.
- Trussell plays Hippocampus: Tyrannis’ half-brother, offspring of Shlub and a mermaid, and, obviously, a hot mess, biologically speaking.
Moreover, the recurring cast members of the series are as follows: Dove Cameron, Tara Strong, Alanna Ubach, and Stephanie Beatriz. The guest stars of the series are Susan Sarandon, Will Forte, Michael Urie, Jane Lynch, Amber Stevens West, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Dave Franco. The roles of these guest star members are not disclosed yet.
Harmon created “Krapopolis” and executive produced the series under his direct animation deal with Fox. The show is produced by Fox’s animation studio, Bento Box Entertainment. It represents Fox’s first wholly-owned animated series. Fox’s recently formed content sales unit, Fox Entertainment Global, will introduce the comedy to international program buyers at MIPCOM Cannes.
Where to stream Krapopolis?
When the release date draws close, the brand new episodes of Krapopolis will be available to stream exclusively on Fox, based on the location of the users and membership plans the viewers choose from. The viewers can choose the membership plan according to their preference and stream the vast catalog of the streaming service that has to offer its users with tv-series and movies ranging across different genres.
