The RHOBH star and The Agency founder have been married since 1996.
Amidst their separation, Kyle Richards revealed on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” on Thursday, “I’ve been married almost my entire adult life,” adding, “I don’t even know what life is without being with Mauricio. It’s hard. It’s painful. It’s scary.” Richards admits to this situation being tough on her because she feels like her “entire identity is being a wife and a mom.”
She explained to the host, “I have four daughters, and they are my best friends, but he’s also my friend, and I do love him very much, and that’s what’s also hard.” When asked whether the two were currently in therapy as rumored by reports from November, the reality TV star answered in the positive. The mom-of-four further stated that they stay in the same house but in separate bedrooms.
She even revealed that the two did not have any issues co-parenting their children last month while on vacation in Aspen, Colo. Richards explained, “If you didn’t know us, you would think everything is normal … I’m making dinner, we’re together.” When Lewis suggested that there may be a possibility of the estranged couple drifting into more of a “loving, close, companionship friendship,” the TV personality did not deny it.

When coming to the topic of split assets, Richards clarified, “If we’re not going to be together, I would get divorced,” adding, “Psychologically, I would need to move on.” The 55-year-old said that Umansky did not own a dollar when they started dating, stating, “He didn’t have any money when I married him and it’s our money,” adding, “Let’s be very clear about that. It’s [a] very clean cut. Everything is half regardless.” For the same reason, the couple never got a prenup.
In July of 2022, People Magazine confirmed the news of Kyle and Mauricio’s separation through a source. However, a few hours later, Kyle took to Instagram to set the record straight. She wrote, “In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue,” adding, “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.”

Despite the ebbing murmurs about a foreseen impending divorce between the mom and dad of four, Mauricio spoke to People Magazine on October 2023 sharing, “We’ve been married for 27 years. We’re having a bit of a rough patch,” adding that “sometimes life throws you different things” and “you’ve gotta work through it.”
Richards has been thoroughly rumored to be dating Morgan Wade, a country singer, which she vehemently denied every time it was brought up. However, reports via Page Six suggest that Wade was spotted with Richards recently on a birthday trip to Mexico. Umansky on the other hand, according to Page Six, has been spotted with multiple women several times over the past few months, but none of them seem to have solidified into a relationship.
