The recently held Paris fashion week began with some excellent glitz and glamor. One of the most talked-about moments was when Kylie Jenner arrived at one of the first shows of the season wearing a real lifelike lion’s head on her shoulder! Not only that but her Schiaparelli gown also grabbed the audience’s attention which was made of wool, silk faux fur, foam, and hand-painted embellishments.

There is no denying that it also looked as lifelike as the lion’s head. The brand was careful enough to make things abundantly clear by saying on social media, “NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED IN MAKING THIS LOOK.”

The mixed reactions

The French fashion house received mixed reactions on social media after having chosen the young Kardashian-Jenner clan star to debut a gown with an unexpected theme. A few social media users appeared to have mistaken the lion’s head for a real piece of taxidermy. Some others lashed out at the brand for showing animals as ‘luxury products.’ Talking about the popular fashion house, it was established in 1927.

Was PETA perturbed?

However, it seems like the animal rights activists were not disturbed by the showcasing of the lion. In fact, PETA president Ingrid Newkirk praised the entire look of the gown. Here is what she reportedly told TMZ that the animal heads were innovative and also made a statement against trophy hunting.
