Putting an end to the breakup rumors simmering on the internet for the past few days, it seems that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are still head over heels for each other.
After Chalamet missed Jenner’s 28th birthday celebration earlier this month, fans started speculating whether the couple had split ways quietly. However, on August 19, they were spotted at Budapest Baristas, a café in Budapest, where two employees took selfies with the celebrities. According to ELLE magazine, Jenner travelled to Hungary to spend some time with the 29-year-old actor who is reportedly shooting for Dune: Part 3.
In an Instagram post, the staff showed their enthusiasm and surprise, as they shared, “Today Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet just walked into our coffee shop at Buda. We were so in confusion, we could barely concentrate,” they wrote, emphasizing how the celebrity arrival left them thrilled. They added, “Thank God, everyone look at them, not us,” expressing relief and excitement over the encounter.

Just a few days before their outing, Jenner had subtly tried to shut down the rumors by liking Timothée’s Instagram post on August 12, which was a trailer for his upcoming film Marty Supreme, as reported by E! News.
But the confirmation (before the selfie, of course) came with Us Weekly’s source, who mentioned that Jenner and Chalamet are “still together.”
This should put the hearts of the fans in order, who undoubtedly went haywire when the rumors broke on the internet. Ever since KJ and TC started dating back in 2023, they have been quite lowkey and have started to make public appearances only in the recent months.
According to TMZ, the couple managed to appear together during major events like movie award season, and also made their red-carpet debut in May. Not to forget their famous appearance during the New York Knicks playoff, where the two were seen cheering in courtside seats at Madison Square, while stealing a kiss or two.
Be that as it may, as observed by ELLE, the majority of the duo’s relationship is spent in long distance. Jenner is based in Los Angeles, living with her and ex Travis Scott’s two children, while Chalamet is managing his busy schedule filming projects on the East Coast and abroad.
Under such circumstances, bonds weaken and ties break. But not with this makeup mogul and Dune star. They are going strong despite the struggles.
Earlier this month, when the rumors of their split were still ripe, a source told PEOPLE why the couple wasn’t spending more time together. Mentioning their busy schedules, the source said, “They haven’t seen each other for a few weeks only because Timothée’s been filming Dune in a studio in Budapest, and Kylie’s been working too.”
The source further added, “But even though Kylie has a private jet, the flight is still 12 hours. She’s a mom, and she works as well. She has a lot of responsibilities in LA. Timothée’s schedule is gruelling, with very little downtime.”
Despite these time restraints, the insider revealed that Jenner had visited him in July.
Not just that, but according to PEOPLE, this heartthrob couple was able to steal some romantic moments earlier this summer in the most romantic place, France. As per the outlet’s source, the pair could enjoy only a few days together since Chalamet had to leave for Prague to begin filming Dune: Messiah.
Getting along with this schedule, the source remarked, “They hadn’t seen each other since before the wedding, so Kylie was really excited when he arrived in France.”
Evidently, the couple is “making it work” despite busy calendars, demanding responsibilities, and differing time zones.
“They FaceTime most days. They miss each other and are totally fine”, the source added.
However, the outlet reports that these restraints are only going to exacerbate in the future since Chalamet will be travelling to Jordan and Abu Dhabi for shooting Dune.
Given these reports, you can conclude that the couple is together and they are not to break up in the near future, at least.
So the rumors can now rest in peace.
But what started them all in the first place was a series of photos and videos that Kylie shared on Instagram, depicting her birthday festivities, which showcased everything from a painting session to a photo booth. And obviously, a lot of cakes!
