If the latest reports are to be believed, noted international artist Lady Gaga is currently in the talks to play Harley Quinn in the upcoming musical. If everything goes well, the movie will mark the singer’s superhero debut. Previously, Margot Robbie played the role of Harley Quinn in the other DC movies like Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey. Robbie last essayed the same role in The Suicide Squad by James Gunn last year.
Is Phoenix returning as the Joker?
Joaquin Phoenix played the role of the troubled DC villain in Joker, which was released in 2019. However, Warner Bros is yet to seal the deal with the actor for the upcoming sequel. The earlier film not only won critical acclaim but was a huge commercial success across the world. For the unversed, Joker bagged a whopping 11 Oscar nominations, and Joaquin Phoenix won the best actor award in the same.

For instance, Todd Philips revealed the title of the movie last week while sharing a picture of the script with a snap of Joaquin Phoenix reading it. As for Lady Gaga, she has given marvelous performances earlier in House of Gucci, and A Star is Born. So, we can expect the same performance level on the part of the singer in Joker: Folie à deux.
