According to the latest reports, it was announced on April 29, 2022, that the trilingual series that is garnering critical response as of now will be back with yet another gripping season. For the unversed, the Korean drama is based on the story of a novel of the same name written by popular author Min Jin Lee. The drama version of the story features Lee Min Ho, Youn Yun Jung, Kim Min Ha, Jin Ha, and others in significant roles.
The first season
The first-ever season of Pachinko premiered on March 25, 2022, on Apple+ TV amid a lot of anticipation about its much-awaited release. The show continued for eight episodes and ended its debut course on April 29, 2022. The first three episodes of the show were aired on its debut date itself. Upon its release, Pachinko received positive responses from the audience and the critics. The story showcases the background of the lives of immigrant Koreans from the 1900s.

Pachinko represents the story of a family undergoing a whole lot of struggles to survive and come out of over four generations as all of them move between South Korea, the United States, and Japan. The main character of the story is Sunja – her childhood character is represented by Yuna, and the adult character is represented by Kim Min Ha. On the other hand, Youn Yun Jung represents her older character. The best part here is that the three actresses try to bring out their best versions in their respective roles as the common character.
Pachinko Season 2 speculations
It is believed that the upcoming season of Pachinko will focus on the characters of Noa and Mozasu. For the unversed, both of them are the sons of Sunja with different fathers. There is also speculation about the development of the characters of Solomon and Noh Hansu in the upcoming season of the popular series.
The filming for the first season of Pachinko began way back on October 26, 2020, in North America, Japan, and South Korea. As revealed by Lee Min Ho, the star cast completed the shoot by December 2020.
