Will we see more seasons of this beloved franchise? Continue reading to learn more about Letterkenny Season 12.
There is no doubt that the show has become one of the most popular series in Hulu’s catalog and stands out the most in the same genre of television series. It has now reached its 11th season, which aired a few days ago and ended with a potentially explorable storyline with new themes with interesting character arcs in this creative show.
This has led to much speculation among viewers about whether the show will get an early renewal or not. So, if you’re wondering the same thing, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve compiled a quick summary of everything you need to know about the current filming status of the series. Here’s everything we know about Letterkenny Season 12.
Is Letterkenny renewed for Season 12?
As of December 2022, the network has yet to formally announce the 12th season of Letterkenny. We know that the 11th season ended with the finale episode, “Degens,” which was directed by Jacob Tierney and written by Jared Keeso and Jacob Tierney. In addition to this, the network has not formally verified the prospective premiere date, which has yet to be acknowledged. So, if we consider the fact that Seasons 8 through 11 all had Christmas Day debuts in Canada, it’s possible that Season 12 will do the same and debut on Crave on December 25, 2023. That would imply that on December 26, 2023, Hulu would also continue the U.S. drop on the respective dates and time slots of 12:01 a.m. like other original shows.
Given that the show just finished its latest season a few days ago, any news or potential updates about a new season seem far too soon. But on the bright side, it has been reported that the filming of the season has been completed. As highlighted above, although Letterkenny Season 12 has not yet been renewed by Hulu, it appears that it has been by Canada’s Crave, and several cast members have posted pictures from the set, indicating that it is almost certainly going to happen. Glen’s writer-director Jacob Tierney talked about Season 12 filming in an Instagram post from September 8, 2022. A lengthy Twitter thread of the cast’s behind-the-scenes images from the Season 12 set can be found on The Produce Stand podcast, one of them is attached below for your convenience:

Letterkenny Season 12: What to expect in the new season?
“Our show has grown at its own pace, which is really nice. We never felt like we were under a microscope,” Tierney explained to Entertainment Weekly earlier in the year. “We began as a pretty little show, with nobody paying a lot of attention to us, and luckily, we still kind of live that way. We’re left alone to do our own thing.” “I don’t think we feel pressured to do anything other than make a good show,” he added. “After this many episodes, sometimes you can lose track of yourself and be like, ‘Oh my God, are we phoning this in? Is this not funny?’ [But] I think if we feel like we can keep each other creatively engaged, then we can keep an audience creatively engaged. Sometimes we’ve definitely looked at each other and been like, ‘Are we gonna do more? Okay, let’s do more. People seem to want them.’”
Additionally, the upcoming series is expected to have at least a total of 6 to 7 episodes with an average runtime of 19 to 30 minutes, which will drop at once, so you can stream the series without waiting on a weekly basis! On the other hand, the episode titles and synopsis of the series are not released by the network as of December 28, 2022. The network will publish those details when the episodes are due to air on the streaming service. So, we would advise fans to be patient while waiting for these updates, which will be issued in the coming months once it’s confirmed by the network.
The main cast members of the series who are expected to reprise their roles include the following actors Jared Keeso as Wayne, Shoresy, Nathan Dales as Daryl, Michelle Mylett as Katy, K. Trevor Wilson as Squirrelly Dan, Dylan Playfair as Reilly, Andrew Herr as Jonesy, Tyler Johnston as Stewart, Dan Petronijevic as McMurray, Melanie Scrofano as Mrs. McMurray, Jacob Tierney as Glen, Lisa Codrington as Gail, Kaniehtiio Horn as Tanis, Evan Stern as Roald, and Mark Forward as Coach. This Canadian television sitcom is created by Jared Keeso, developed and written primarily by Keeso and Jacob Tierney, and directed by Tierney.
