Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks might soon be exchanging their vows at the altar.
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram on Friday, where Brooks shared a post posing cozily alongside her fiancé, flaunting the sparkling, massive diamond ring on her finger. Surpassing over 31K likes, the Instagram post was captioned with a simple white heart emoji, which was later reposted by the model on her Instagram Story.

The couple reportedly got engaged after nearly six years of dating. Although the announcement was made on September 12, the rumors of the duo being engaged started to simmer way back in the past.
According to E! News, the Hunger Games alum and the fashion model were speculated to be engaged when Gabriella styled the diamond sparkler on that finger during Chris Hemsworth’s 42nd birthday, Liam Hemsworth’s brother. She was spotted promenading along a yacht dock in Ibiza, Spain, wearing an adorable yellow mini dress and black sunglasses, while Liam styled a simple white tank top with blue shorts.
The 35-year-old actor and the 29-year-old model were said to have made things official when Hemsworth introduced Brooks to his parents, Craig Hemsworth and Leonie Hemsworth, in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia, as reported by PEOPLE. The outlet further reports that it was in 2021 that the couple made their first Instagram appearance together as the actor shared a photo of him posing with Brooks, Chris Hemsworth, along with Chris’ wife Elsa Pataky and Matt Damon’s wife Luciana Barroso.
The Australian actor was previously married to Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus until their divorce was finalized in January 2020.

While Hemsworth was with Miley Cyrus for about a decade, Brooks had shared a four-year relationship with the 1975 frontman, Matty Healy, who, according to Page Six, is now engaged to model Gabbriette Bechtel.
Providing a glimpse into the actor’s relationship with Brooks, the outlet’s source revealed, “His relationship with Gabriella is very different from Miley. They like the same things and have the same lifestyle.” Presumably pointing at his marriage with the “Wrecking Ball” singer, the insider added, “It’s not a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Gabriella is very laid back and even keeled.”
According to The Daily Mail, back in 2021, Gabriella confided to Stellar regarding the importance of privacy in her life. She said, “My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me. And I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself. I completely understand [the interest in our relationship]. Be that as it may, the past six years that the couple dated each other didn’t always exude ‘la vie en rose’ vibe. According to Page Six, in August 2022, the couple went through a minor hurdle, one that was enough to spark breakup rumors. At that point, the outlet’s source had pointed out that the Lonely Planet actor wasn’t ready “to be tied down” because his career had “picked up since the pandemic ended.”
However, these rumors were soon put to rest when the actor stepped out with Brooks to make their official red carpet debut in November of the same year.
