Lindsay Lohan reacts to ex Aaron Carter’s sudden demise & recalls fond memories

Aaron Carter, singer and child artist, passed away at the young age of 34 years on Saturday. The musician was reportedly found dead in his residence in California, reports TMZ. A representative of the late singer declined to comment but noted that a statement would be released shortly by the family members and the management. For the unversed, Aaron was the younger brother of Backstreet Boys fame Nick Carter.

Lindsay Lohan’s message

After the news of Carter’s demise broke, multiple artists and colleagues of the late singer paid their heartfelt tributes to him. Among them is Lindsay Lohan, his ex whom he dated between January 2002 to April 2003. The actress broke her silence on the late singer’s death two days after his demise and recalled her memories with him during her recent interview with Access Hollywood.

Lindsay Lohan spoke about the fond memories she shared with Aaron Carter and said during her interview, “So many from when I was so young, just that era of my life.” She also added, “and my prayers go out to his family and may he rest in peace and God bless.” In another interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress said, “My heart goes out to his family and may he rest in peace. God bless him, there is a lot of love there.”

His fiancé, Melanie Martin, has also released a short statement following the news of his demise that reads, “We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.”

Backstreet Boys’ tribute to Carter

Aaron Carter’s older brother Nick Carter also shared a heartbreaking note for the late singer on Instagram while speaking about his brother’s struggle with mental health and addiction. Recently, Nick and the rest of the boy band also paid a special tribute to Carter during the Backstreet Boys London concert. According to a report by CBS, band member Kevin Richardson said, “The next song is about family. We all grew up together. We’ve been through highs and lows, ups and downs, you guys have been through it with us. Tonight, we’ve got a little bit of heavy hearts because we lost one of our family members yesterday.”
