Here is everything relating to when Disney+ will release Loki Season 2.
Loki Season 2: Is it premiering in January 2023 or not?
Unfortunately, it was brought to our attention that Loki Season 2 wasn’t included in the list of new releases in January 2023, which is a little disappointing for the fans who have been waiting for the next season for quite some time now. If you recall, the development of a second season began back in November 2020 and was confirmed in July 2021, with Martin, Benson, and Moorhead all hired by late February 2022. Filming began in June 2022 at Pinewood Studios and concluded in October. Now it is officially confirmed to be released in the summer of 2023 as it will be part of Phase Five of the MCU.
Moreover, if we consider most of the series with a bit of speculation, then the new season will have the same premiere time as other shows on the streaming service, which is 12:00 a.m. (PT) or 3:00 a.m. (ET). In order to receive updates on when the show premieres on Disney+, interested viewers can also enable notifications. The official Twitter handle of the streaming platform also confirmed the news among its followers, quoting, “Take it from the God of Mischief himself: We can’t wait for 2023 on #DisneyPlus. #DisneyPlusFeelsLikeHome” Take a look at the official post below:

Loki Season 2: What to expect?
While the specifics of the plot are currently being kept under wraps, the news is noteworthy because it makes this the first Marvel series to receive a second season. Loki head writer Michael Waldron spoke to Marvel about Majors’ earth-shattering appearance. “Knowing that Kang was probably going to be the next big cross-movie villain, and because he is a time-traveling, multiversal adversary, it just always made so much sense,” he said. “I came up with that big multiversal war mythology and pitched it out in the room one day to our producers. And they said, ‘Yeah, let’s go for it.’ We knew we were going to end up meeting the man behind the curtain. And then it was just on us to make sure that that meeting really delivered.”
In addition to this, teasing to the crowd at D23 Expo 2022, Hiddleston revealed that Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 left off, with Loki in a familiar, but a strange, place. “Loki is back at the TVA, he’s had a very difficult confrontation with Sylvie, and Mobius and Hunter B-15 don’t know who he is.” Nothing that he saw Jonathan Majors backstage, who played Kang in Season 1, Di Martino quipped, “I thought I killed that guy!”
In Marvel Studios’ Loki, the mercurial villain Loki resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series after Avengers: Endgame. Hence, in the final episode of the first season, “For All Time. Always,” the viewers got to see that, “The clock ticks as Loki and Sylvie go on a date with destiny.” Moreover, Kevin Feige mentions that Loki Season 2 also directly connects to the larger Multiverse Saga of Phases 4, 5, and 6, but how? Going for the pun, Hiddleston tells the crowd, “only time will tell!”
The confirmed cast list for the second season is as follows Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie Laufeydottir, Jonathan Majors as Nathaniel Richards/Kang the Conqueror, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes (voice), Eugene Cordero as Casey, Rafael Casal as a to-be-confirmed character, Ke Huy Quan as a to-be-confirmed character, and Kate Dickie as a to-be-confirmed character. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead direct and executive produce Season 2. Eric Martin is the head writer and executive producer, along with Hiddleston and Michael Waldron.
