Hollywood breakups are dropping down like rain these past few months, and the recent one is a definite surprise.
People have confirmed via sources that the ‘Snowfall’ actor and the model have decided to call it quits after a revolution around the sun. The Hollywood Reporter gathers a statement given by the estranged couple in question, stating, “We are at a point in our lives where our individual paths require our full attention and dedication,” adding, “We part ways remaining friends with nothing but love and respect for each other and the time we shared together.”
The separation news comes mere days after Harvey, 26, shared a celebratory Instagram for Idris’ 32nd birthday in September, captioned, “Happyyyy Birthdayyyy twinnn!!!! I love youuuu.”
Harvey, Steve Harvey’s youngest daughter, went public with her relationship with Idris on January 13, her 26th birthday. The buzzing couple was first spotted by the paparazzi leaving Steve Harvey’s birthday celebration hand-in-hand. At this party, several other known celebrities like Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Justin and Hailey Beiber, Kendall Jenner, and Idris’ close friend Daniel Kaluuya were in attendance. According to People, their first public appearance was inaugurated during the premiere of Snowfall in February.
Apart from some public appearances, the couple soon took to going on a vacation together to Turks and Caicos, per reports. They were noticed in London during the Spring, afterward joining the concert party of Beyonce in May, and finally were spotted in Serpentine Summer Party in June.
Their extravagant vacationing does not end here. They joined families in Saint-Tropez on a chartered yacht with the Harvey family. While in the coastal town on the French Riviera, the couple held hands on the beach and strolled through the French town. As the summer concluded, the couple were spotted vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in mid-August.
Thereafter, according to the recent accounts gathered by People, mere days ahead of Irdis’s 32nd birthday, the two were seen in the magical Disneyland for a quick trip. Recently, Harvey stated in an interview with Bumble Presents Luv2SeeIt with Teyana Taylor, acquired via People, “Not compromising my values, my standards, and my requirements,” adding to the question of how one should be in or out of a relationship, “You’ve got to make sure you’re giving [your love] to the right person because when you start giving it to the wrong person it starts to drain you.”
