Love is defined as an intense feeling of affection. When two people fall in love with each other, all they want to do is be with each other for as long as forever is. But things can get painful when one of the partners is revealed to have not much time to live.
Netflix is bringing us one such heartwrenching love story this March. Love Like the Falling Petals is an upcoming Japanese movie based on the novel of the same name by Keisuke Uyama. The movie follows a young couple, whose lives start to shatter as the girl is revealed to be dealing with a serious disease. The movie is directed by Yoshihiro Fukagawa, best known for Into the White Night (2011). It is co-written by Yoshida Tomoko, known for Blue Spring Ride (2014), Tomorrow I Will Date With Yesterday’s You (2016), and Hot Road (2014).

Haruto Asakura is an amateur photographer who falls in love with a talented hairstylist, Misaki Ariake. He asks her out and they start dating. But things start to fall apart after Misaki is diagnosed with a condition that ages her ten times faster than normal.
Love Like the Falling Petals Cast
Nakajima Kento will be playing the role of Haruto Asakura. Kento is a Japanese actor, singer, and entertainer. He is a member of the idol group Sexy Zone. He made his acting debut in the 2013 drama Bad Boys J and starred in the movie continuation of the same. Since then he has starred in many dramas and movies including Kanojo wa Kirei datta (2021), Wagahai no Heya De Aru (2017), I’m Underage But I’m Not a Child (2017), and The Black Devil and the White Prince (2016).
Matsumoto Honoka will be playing Misaki Ariake. Honoka is best known for her roles in After the Rain (2018), Atypical Crime Investigator, Hinako Todo (2016), and Mio on the Shore (2019).
Other cast members include Nagayama Kento as Ariake Takashi, Sakurai Yuki as Yoshino Ayano, Yanagi Shuntaro as Takanashi Kenzo, Wakatsuki Yumi as Ichikawa Makoto, Kaname Jun as Kamiya, Mashima Hidekazu as Tsuji, and Oikawa Mitsuhiro as Sawai Kyosuke.
