Lupin Part 3 Plot: What to expect from the new season?

The official synopsis of the third part, as per Netflix, states: When we last see Assane Diop (Sy), he’s on the run from the police. While Assane may have successfully revealed a major insurance fraud perpetrated by mega-rich entrepreneur Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre) — the man responsible for framing his father and sending him to prison years ago — that wasn’t before Hubert framed him for a murder. Now the most wanted man in France, Assane decides it’s better for his son, Raoul (Etan Simon) and ex, Claire (Ludivine Sagnier), if he falls off the radar for a bit.

In the tense Part 3 sneak peek, which is preceded by an introduction from Sy, we see Assane scurrying through Parisian alleys as police sirens blare behind him. He seeks refuge on a rooftop,  but a sniper crew is actually at the ready, complete with night vision goggles. It’s not long before Assane is running for his life. Once he reaches a major gap between rooftops, he’s left with two options: Stand still and get shot, or take a leap of faith. He attempts one of those jumps that definitely seems easier in the movies — and while he doesn’t miss, he doesn’t make it either. Our hero is left clinging to the edge of a roof with his life hanging in the balance.
