In a surprising revelation during a recent interview, Meals_by_cug TikToker Danny Mondello threw an unexpected curveball by dropping a notable name. The food influencer spilled the beans in a recent interview, saying that Drake once asked him out to the rapper’s go-to restaurant. But here’s the twist: it seems like Drake has ‘ghosted’ Mondello after the invite, leaving him hanging for that promised reservation.

Drake allegedly contacted Danny Mondello

The surprising revelation came on the latest episode of “Rent Free,” the monthly online game show hosted by Ankur Jain. During the show, Mondello not only dropped a bombshell about his unexpected interaction with Drake but also unveiled his favorite dining spots in New York City, which included Emilio’s Ballato on Houston Street, Lucali – a Brooklyn pizza haven, and Lee’s Tavern, a sports bar and pizza joint in Staten Island.

The tale unfolded when Mondello revealed how the ‘Work’ rapper randomly contacted him with a restaurant recommendation in his own hometown.

‘Come to Toronto and go to Sotto Sotto’

Ankur Jain, the host, inquired, “Who’s the most famous person who’s slipped into your DMs?” to which the Staten Island foodie guru responded, “Just to, like, say hello? Drake, I guess?” He went on to share the intriguing encounter, recalling, “Yeah, it was pretty cool. He was just like, ‘Come to Toronto and go to Sotto Sotto.’ I was like, ‘Alright, we’ll see.'”

However, when pressed by Jain about whether he took up Drake’s invitation, Mondello admitted, “No, not yet. I would love to go… he basically ghosted me.” Mondello concluded the discussion by saying, “He treated me like a puttane,” referring to some Italian slang.

Drake has reportedly brought dates to Sotto Sotto

Sotto Sotto is a famous celeb hotspot in Toronto, Canada, and Drake is known to be a big fan. He has reportedly brought dates there and mentioned it in his song ‘5AM in Toronto’. The ‘One Dance’ even sported the Sotto Sotto name on a leather jacket, as per Page Six.
