Megan Thee Stallion recently opened up about prioritizing her well-being. In an exclusive interview with People magazine, discussing her collaboration with fitness company Planet Fitness ahead of 2024, the rapper emphasized the significance of safeguarding her mental health and shared her preferred methods of relaxation.

“I’m always working or traveling, so I’m a big believer in setting boundaries and carving out rest days to preserve my mental health and avoid burnout,” Megan said. “During my days off, I love to binge my favorite shows, spend time with my dogs and hang out with my friends,” she added. “It’s just so relaxing and therapeutic to give your body a break, have some balance and allow yourself the space to reset and recharge.”

In addition to prioritizing her mental health, the 28-year-old rapper recognizes the significance of maintaining a healthy diet and has made notable changes in her daily eating habits.

“Having a healthy and balanced diet is a huge part of my process. I’ve integrated a lot of fruit and vegetables into my meals — I love protein-rich meals and I drink lots of healthy smoothies — so I’m definitely proud of the adjustments I’ve made,” she emphasized. “It takes a lot of discipline and consistency, but I try to be extra health-conscious with everything I put into my body.”

The ‘Savage’ hitmaker acknowledged the vital connection between physical and mental health. “Physical and mental health go hand-in-hand, and it’s a huge priority for me,” she said.

Megan, in collaboration with Planet Fitness, is supporting the Pete & Thomas Foundation through a charitable merchandise line. The line includes various items like crew neck sweatshirts, bucket hats, water bottles, and sticker sheets, with proceeds dedicated to uplifting underserved communities in Houston and globally through education, housing, health, and wellness.

“I’m extremely grateful that Planet Fitness shares my passion for mental health and is committed to donating all sales profits from our co-branded merch line to my non-profit organization, The Pete & Thomas Foundation,” Megan shared in the interview.

“For such a long time, our society had a negative stigma around mental health, so I’m committed to doing my part to normalize the conversation and provide people with the right resources to get the necessary help,” she continued.
