Following Queen Elizabeth II’s demise, Prince Harry and Prince William put aside everything as royal siblings as they united along with wives Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, respectively. All four of them made a joint appearance outside the historic Windsor Castle to greet all the mourners and to view the messages and flower displays laid out by the fans in honor of the late queen after her demise.

The Duchess’ interaction

During their recent appearance at Windsor Castle, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were seen greeting fans. In the midst of all this, the Duchess of Sussex was also spotted sharing a hug with a teenager. Now, the same fan who received the warm embrace from Markle has revealed while speaking to CNN why she could hug her. The fan reportedly stated that it was the right thing to do amid whatever had happened between the royal family and the Duchess. She also added, “I asked if she could have a hug, and she hugged me back. It was just quite an amazing moment. I’m still shaking now.”

The same fan stated that she wanted Meghan Markle to feel welcomed during her UK visit and added that it felt nice to see both the princes and their respective wives coming together following the demise of the late queen.

The Queen’s demise

British monarch Queen Elizabeth II left for her heavenly abode on September 8, 2022. The news of her demise was confirmed by the British Royal family in an official statement. Talking about the 96-year-old Monarch, she breathed her last at the Balmoral Castle situated in Scotland. Members of the royal family reportedly rushed to the Queen’s side on Thursday after it was suggested by the doctors who were concerned about her health.

The tribute

The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex paid their solemn tribute to the late Queen via their Archewell foundation. The ex-royal couple has changed their site’s wall and landing page to an all-black color. Moreover, the website has wiped off all information related to the foundation and any other upcoming events. What it all includes is a heartfelt message dedicated to the late Queen that reads, “In loving memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.” The late monarch’s birth and death years were also mentioned beneath the same.

For the unversed, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently visited the UK to attend the One Young World Summit. They also paid a visit to Germany to attend another event.
