Meghan Markle’s estranged father Thomas Markle was reportedly hospitalized on Monday night after having allegedly suffered a stroke. According to a report published in TMZ, the 77-year-old was carried on an ambulance in Tijuana, Mexico with an oxygen mask over his face. For the unversed, Thomas Markle is a former television lighting director. As per another report published on Page Six, Markle was transported to a hospital situated in Chula Vista, California, at around 9.30 pm local time.
About Thomas’ condition
Thomas Markle was apparently unable to communicate with the health experts coming to his aid and wrote down his symptoms on a piece of paper. Samantha Markle, his 57-year-old daughter has stated that Markle is currently recovering at the hospital.
Thomas Markle earlier grabbed headlines when he failed to attend his daughter Meghan Markle’s wedding with Prince Harry back in 2018 due to heart problems. On the other hand, his elder daughter Samantha has blamed Meghan who is the Duchess of Sussex for their father’s deteriorating health. She also criticized the Duchess for commemorating Nelson Mandela while she was in conflict with their father. Samantha even took a jibe at Meghan on Twitter by asking her to pay a tribute to their father instead of others.
Recent health concerns
The current concerns associated with Thomas Markle’s health may also mean that he will not be able to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in London which is scheduled for next week. According to several publications, he had intended to attend the event. He reportedly even planned to visit Windsor Castle for the very first time. As per the latest reports, Thomas Markle is currently communicating with his family members and loved ones through text. He is unable to talk right now hinting at a lengthy rehabilitation.

The entire family has been estranged from Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex for years. As per various reports, Meghan’s strained relationship with her father deteriorated after she welcomed her children Archie and Lilibet.
