For the unversed, MGK dropped his seventh studio album on Friday, which is titled “Lost Americana.” It includes an emotional track, “Treading Water”, where the rapper apparently talks about ‘dying alone.’
The 35-year-old’s lyrics about the last time somebody heard him say sorry and crying surely remind us of his relationship with Megan Fox.“This’ll be the last time you hear me say sorry / That’ll be the last tear you waste on me crying / I broke this home,” MGK, 35, sings.
This became more apparent when MGK also seemingly mentioned the word ‘daughter’ in the song. Yes, the songwriter and Fox have a 4-month-old baby daughter, Saga.
He sings at the end of the second verse: “I broke this home, but I’ll change for our daughter, so she’s not alone.”
So, with these references, fans can’t help but decode that the song is about his breakup with Megan Fox.

Many people considered MGK and Fox to be an on-and-off couple, and the reasons were obvious. The two of them announced in November 2024 that they will be having a baby soon. However, things went haywire when the celebrity couple called it quits after Megan Fox reportedly found texts from other women on MGK’s phone.
