American rapper MGK, aka Machine Gun Kelly, has dedicated his latest tour show, Lost Americana, to his two daughters – Casie Colson Baker and Saga Blade Fox-Baker.
While speaking to the crowd at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Thursday, he said, “I would like to dedicate this show to my two baby girls.”
He was talking about his 16-year-old first child and his second child, whom he welcomed along with Megan Fox in March this year. “My oldest [Casie] grew up too fast,” he added, according to Page Six.
After he made the announcement, a footage showing warm moments of MGK’s family was played on the projection screen, along with which, he performed play this when I’m gone.
MGK, 35, further spoke about the importance of family in his life. “I want to highlight how important family is,” he said, adding, “If you’re here with your loved ones, love them forever, man.”
The Wild Boy rapper also took a moment to acknowledge that his fans had braved heavy rains to attend his show. “I looked up, I saw that weather. The clouds, I saw the rain. I said, ‘Is anybody coming?’” he said jokingly.
Before starting the performance, he further said, “I’m so glad that I’m stupid and I’m wrong 98 percent of the time. The only advantage of that rain is that you guys are already wet for me. Los Angeles, I think it’s time to heat some s–t up!”
He also spoke about the connection that he feels with his audience “I have a lot of love for this town. If there’s any place I’d rather come out and try some s–t, it’d either be back in Cleveland [my hometown], or here,” he said, noting that he and his team are “working on the setlist” as the tour progresses, making each show distinct.
The musician expanded the production for this tour by adding dancers, including Delaney Glazer, known to many from his “cliché” music video, who joined MGK and band members JP “Rook” Cappelletty, Sophie Lloyd, Justin “Jus” Lyons, Steve “Baze” Basil, No Love and Brandon “Slimxx” Allen onstage.
The set featured numerous tracks from MGK’s August release Lost Americana, issued through EST 19XX and Interscope Records, the follow-up to 2022’s Mainstream Sellout.
Celebrities who attended the tour included Mod Sun and actress Madelaine Petsch. They were seen throughout the venue as MGK performed songs such as dont wait run fast, vampire diaries and goddamn.
